More specifically, I examine the intended and unintended impact of communication in market contexts and in the management of relationships between organizations and individuals. Theoretically, I draw on different communication and social/cognitive psychological theories to gain a deeper understanding of the mechanisms involved. Methodologically, I explore these issues using archival work, content analysis, and lab experiments.
