My primary area of research concerns the nature of the factors that influence effective work processes. Specifically, I am interested in the effects of subordinate humor and political skill in leader-member exchange (LMX) relationships. Additional constructs of interest include communication and decision making. Further research interests include teams, training, and leadership. TEACHING TEACHING INTERESTS My primary teaching interests intersect management and psychology. I love teaching leadership, organizational behavior, management, and strategy. Based on my academic background in business and psychology, I am fully confident that I can teach in other areas within a department of management including, human resources, ethics, and change. Additionally, I believe my practical and research experience enables me to be able bring in examples and takeaways that enrich student learning. Furthermore, these experiences instill confidence that I can successfully teach other classes including, teams and training, and teach graduate and executive students.
