6 Knowledge and expertise for maximum effectiveness Part 147 technical training Flybe Training Academy provides aircraft maintenance training courses that enable licenced engineers to operate with maximum effectiveness. Engineers leave with the skills and knowledge they need to carry out line and base maintenance tasks, confidently and safely. Our courses are well structured and delivered in accordance with EASA regulations under our Part 147 approval. Type courses are available for both B1 and B2 licence holders and we also provide combined B1 and B2 courses. Training is delivered by our dedicated and highly experienced team of instructors, who are able to deliver courses at our Training Academy in the UK or at a suitable customer location worldwide to offer greater flexibility, choice and value for money. Aircraft types trained: Embraer 135/ /190 Bombardier Dash-8 Q400 Bombardier Dash-8 100/200/300 series Bombardier CRJ 100/ /900/1000 BAe 146/RJ ATR 42/72 Structured practical training (OJT) Our EASA-approved practical training packages are designed for licenced engineers who have completed an approved type course. The training is delivered by experienced certified licenced engineers and is available on both Embraer 170/190 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft at several line stations in the UK. Each package is delivered over a ten-day period (and can include overnight stays). 8 Helping pilots to reach their potential Pilot and simulator training Our pilot and simulator training packages are wideranging and available to airline operators with qualified, professional pilots who have JAA (or equivalent) ATPL, including MCC and JOC. We are a UK CAA ATO for the Embraer 170/190 and Q400 pilot type-rating course, and can offer line and base training as part of the course programme. Pilot ground school Dash-8 Q400 and E-Jet 170/190 Flybe Training Academy offers a comprehensive Pilot Ground School delivered by our regulatory ATO. The Type-Rating courses cover aircraft systems and procedures including; performance, loading and lo-vis operations and 10 four hour full flight simulator sessions incorporating the Licence Skills Test and Lo-Vis Ops. We can adapt our simulators to meet your fleet s systems environments and cockpit layouts as well as your airline procedures. 10 Cabin crew training Preparing for every eventuality Open to operators worldwide, our cabin crew training is offered by a highly skilled and knowledgeable team of instructors, who deliver a range of CAA approved safety and in-flight skills training. Where necessary, all of the available courses meet EU-OPS requirements. An Embraer 170/190 cabin door trainer with slide descent is available at our Training Academy for wet or dry lease. Also available for hire are a fire and smoke trainer and aircraft mock-up, as well as a range of SEP equipment. Training courses include: Initials, Conversion, Recurrent and Promotion Instructor (Train the trainer) CRM - Initial and Recurrent SEP, Doors and Exits Fire and Smoke Slide Evacuation In addition to the above courses we would be happy to discuss further training requirements, specific to your needs. All of our courses are delivered at our Training Academy based in Exeter and at designated line stations across the UK. We can also deliver training at customer locations if required.
