23 Development Cooperation & Public Procurement International Public Procurement Good to know In the case of projects financed by IFIs, the partner country (borrower) - not the IFI - is in charge of the procurement of goods and services. Each IFI has binding procurement guidelines to ensure transparent and fair bidding and contracting procedures. UN organizations unlike development banks procure directly. Donor funded projects usually follow a standardized process (project cycle). The time span between project forecast and actual tendering can amount to several years. For tenders not financed by donors, national procurement regulations apply Germany Trade & Invest 23

Prepare your company and build internal skills it s a long term business!
