1 Position Description Job Title: Solutions Consultant EDRMS, ECM and Change Management Category: Process Reports to: Business Solutions Manager Date: November Purpose of Position The purpose of this position is to ensure CRT provides to internal and external stakeholders a document and content management solution that supports all divisions in the business with their varied needs and dependencies on such as platform. The delivery of the solution will encompass significant change on the business and as such, requires effective change management principals and delivery including training, documentation and analysis. The role will own the delivery of the Microsoft SharePoint platform to all areas of the business. This ownership will be in terms of establishing and maintaining CRT s classification and taxonomy, information architecture and overseeing the technical delivery of business requirements into end-user solutions. The capability to consult across all areas of the business, guiding them from Business Process Mapping through to delivery across the full SDLC is core to this role. Supporting and extending the EDRMS and ECM to include all CRT s divisions is a necessary requirement of the role. Additionally, exposure and engagement in industry standard EDRMS and ECM implementation guidelines is highly valuable in ensuring that CRT follows industry best practice guidelines. This leads directly into safeguarding CRT s partner relationship with effective management and enabling CRT to derive maximum value from any externally derived project delivery. 2. Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities EDRMS Programme Advisory Understanding the direction of the business through all levels with respect to their reporting requirements and be able to advise those respective business units on the most appropriate delivery strategy for the EDRMS requirements Education of the wider business in the capabilities of the EDRMS platform Support the determined platform for delivery of the EDRMS solutions including advisory and implementation of EDRMS solutions within the context of the overall CRT solutions architecture Provide governance and change management best practice to all CRT divisions and ensuring that the investment that CRT is making is maximised by ensuring end user engagement is achieved to a high-level Position Description: Solutions Consultant EDRMS, WCM and Change Management Page 1
2 Provide governance and direction to any 3 rd party service providers to ensure that the best service, result and value is delivered for CRT with respect to EDRMS solutions Assist with guiding the Project Delivery and Business Analysts team with respect to industry guidelines and best practice implementation of deliverables on the SharePoint platform Consult and present to the wider CRT business on the capabilities SharePoint and the business benefits of maximising the investment in an EDRMS solution Communicate with vendors for technical development support, scheduling their work and tasks within the context of a wider programme of EDRMS solutions delivery. Support and maintenance of the business classification and taxonomy Chairing the EDRMS governance group including information architecture, usage guidelines, content expiry, legislative requirements and find-ability Provide sufficient competency in SharePoint to be able to challenge vendors and existing deployed solutions for their viability, appropriateness and efficacy ECM Solutions Delivery Capture and detail the business solution requirements in the context of EDRMS in terms of delivery using the configuration tools such as SharePoint Designer or 3 rd Party components such as Nintex. Provide capability in the creation of ECM content including, but not limited to, blogs, knowledge bases, search interfaces, dashboards, team and divisional portals Support and maintenance of the business classification and taxonomy Chairing the EDRMS governance group including information architecture, usage guidelines, content expiry, legislative requirements and find-ability Provide sufficient competency in SharePoint to be able to challenge vendors and existing deployed solutions for their viability, appropriateness and efficacy Business Solutions Team Responsibilities As a member of the Business Solutions Team contribute to the ongoing continuous improvement of the teams processes and procedures Mentor and educate other members of staff about the capability of the Business Solutions team and what we can offer with respect to providing more efficient systems and business practices 3.
