The days of driving the experience to the user is over, plan to let them drive if you don t, they will leave and visit your competition. Get across the who you are, what you do, and why should your prospects care in a concise well written introductory header/body copy. (reinforce with imagery and animation) Make sure your main message is linked to an easy to see call to action that is aligned with your main conversion goals. (it s ok to use more than 1!) If possible link several scenes together to hit on lead in messaging for some of your top offering. This should intrigue the reader and make click through much more likely!

It s not how you want to project your brand or even your categories, it s about how your users NEED to browse them so they understand easily how to find what their looking for. They shouldn t have to guess, categories should intuitively suggest their sub categories. A website s content drives traffic to it. How the content is organized will either send a visitor to the back button or engage them to view your messaging and offers. Most users don t read, they scan. So make sure your content is highly scannable by using ENGAGING headers and sub headers. White space is your friend so are clarity and appropriate page titles for each web page so users know exactly where they are.
