Course content The course content includes definitions of rehabilitation and case study. Rehabilitation is process that seeks to restore a patient to the previous level of health Course This course is a general way of enhancing the quality of life, increasing independence and promoting quality life style through case study and interpretation. In case study nearly every aspect of the subject s life and history will be analyzed. Course Justification Rehabilitation is an holistic and integrated program of medical, physical, phsycholosocial and vocational intervention that allows a person to function effectively. As such there is need to equip students counselor with the basic skills they would need in analyzing cases of clients who needs rehabilitation. Course Objective At the end of the course student should be able to Define rehabilitation Identify goals of rehabilitation 1
2 List some types of rehabilitation Highlight the concept of cases study Specify sources of information in cases study Identify steps in Analyzing a case study Course Requirement This is a compulsory course for 200 level students in the counselor education Department 75% attendance is compulsory, which qualifies the student to sit for the examination at the end of the semester. The information you want to gather, the objectives of gathering the information, the response of the client, result and recommendation are all very important.
