7 Course Description Arabic Language 1 (-0) This course contains a set of linguistic skills in different levels such as the sounds of the Arabic language, its morphology, syntax, rhetoric, lexicography and writing. It includes as well as on applications on the use of Arabic dictionaries and applications on some writing skills indispensable for scholars in their working lives. It also contains a refined set of Quranic, poetry and short stories of Arabic texts to give the learners the opportunity to be in contact with and to appreciate these texts. Pre-req. Arabic 99 or passing Arabic Level Exam Arabic Language 2 (-0) This course aims to develop student's skills in writing and expression and to provide him with the necessary and basic ones in order to employ them in his daily use, and enable him to stand on the origins of various Arabic scripts, and access to various forms of technical and functional old and new writing. Pre-req English 1 (-0) Is a complete graded course for foreign learners of English; it covers the skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing; as well as improving pronunciation and building vocabulary; particular emphasis is placed on listening and speaking; the language of the course is British English. Pre-req. English 99 or passing English Level Exam English 2 (-0) Is a continuation of English I Course in terms of approach and methodology However, it covers a new range of interesting topics, and provides a more advanced grammar syllabus in a communicative context as well, therefore, this topic tends to be a continuation of ENGL 101 goals. Topics covered include the basic structure of digital computer systems; operating systems; application software; data communication and networks; and the Internet hands-on learning emphasizes windows (latest operating systems); MS- Office; and the Internet Military Sciences (-0) This course aims at providing university students with general military culture and illustrating the overall military capabilities of the armed forces to defend the homeland and its role in development and service of the Jordanian society through lectures and field visits National Education (-0) The course of National Education is one of the compulsory requirements of all students in Jordanian universities, national and private. The general intent is to provide students with the theoretical and practical knowledge of the homeland (Jordan), land and people, and to consolidate the love of the homeland and national brotherhood in them, to motivate them to serve the nation and the people consciously and sincerely, to be innovative and competitive by exhortations to achieve the desired progress in various fields of life.

The course focuses on fields like intelligence, memorizing, motivation, class interaction and evaluation of learning process Computer Skills (2) (2-) Introduction to the programming language rank (Visual Basic), which includes the topics of this course is ranked the principles of programming language, programming beings and events, and an introduction to the software database (Microsoft Access) Introduction to Social Work (-0) The Course deals with Concepts, philosophy, process, methods, principles and fields of social work. also, it discusses the role of communication in social work Instructional Design (-0) This course deals with the concept of the learning process, teaching theory and designs, the design of teaching models, the model of teaching knowledge and applications, creating educated, intellectual, behavioral models for the design of teaching, Rollout expanded model learning, needs and objectives of teaching, learner characteristics and the design of teaching, learning method, analysis, task, Performance descriptive and interactions, calendar in the design of teaching Measurements and Evaluation in Education (-0) This course includes studying the basic subjects concerning Measurement and evaluation which form the basic for some of scientific researches with educational and psychological studies Research Curriculum and Statistical Methods (-0) This course includes definition, characteristics, objectives and purposes of science, the concept of scientific research, curriculum, the basic concepts of statistics, such as the samples(nature, analysis), variables, and its classification, data distribution, central tendency measures, variance, regression analysis, correlation, and SPSS program applications. The bases on which special education stands like the individual education program,working as a team and the participation of parents,merger, identifying the different categories of disability,mental,audio-visual,emotional,physical, learning disability,speech and language problems, multiple disabilities and knowing the reasons behind this and the attributes for each and the most important means in relation to services provided to all different categories,in addition to the category of outstanding qualities and their related programs, and the supporting services like occupational and physiotherapy, special physical education and social service. Mental Retardation (-0) The concept of mental retardation, prevalence, classification of mental retardation, causes, characteristic preventing mental retardation, ways for learning, medicine and programs mental retardation. 9 Course Description Visual Impairment (-0) This course addresses the definition of visual impairment, mechanism of vision, reasons of visual impairment and its types, ways of protection and its causes on growth, early programs, psychological and educational evaluation, tools and equipments related to visual impairment students and ways of teaching, and the real services offered to those individuals in Jordan. Pre-req. General psychology (-0) Psychology, history, purposes, the main trends in explaining the behavioral phenomena, the Motivation, remembering, forgetting, personality, feelings, emotions and intelligence. Autism (-0) This course introduce the concept of autism, kinds of autism, symptoms of autism, the main reasons of autism, characteristic of autism, ways of assist and diagnosis autism, and the clinical programs for autism. Pre-req. Physical and Health Impairment (-0) Introducing the injuries of the central nervous system such as Cerebral palsy Epilepsy, spinal cord, polio edema of the brain, as well as to identify injuries skeletonincluding, deformity, amputation, foot deformity, cleft throat, lip, hip dislocation Congenital, Milan and the deviation of the spine, as well as to identify injuries musculature, including, atrophy, and the dissolution of muscle, disintegration and atrophy of the muscles of the spinal cord, as well as disability and health, including asthma, diabetes, injuries heart in children, Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, in terms of definitions, types, causes, classification, methods of prevention, prevalence rates, liabilities resulting from them, and to identify considerations for amending the classroom environment, school and educational methods and early intervention, rehabilitation, operation and integration, the reality of disability services and physical health in Jordan as well as its practical applications. 10 Course Description Behavior Modification (-0) The definitions of behavior modification and how the behavioral disorders are identified and defined. The effects of these disorders on students and their families and the strategies that can use it to work with team. Pre-req. Behavior and Emotional Disorders (-0) This course talks about the concept of behavior disorders, normal behavior, abnormal behavior, standards of abnormal behavior, classification of abnormal behavior, causes, characteristic of abnormal behavior, explaining direction of behavior disorders, examples for behavior problems, ways for medication, and behavior disorder in Jordan. Pre-req Giftedness and Talent (-0) This course aims at informing the student with concepts of the psychology of the talented and gifted, the definitions of intelligence, the definitions of talent and giftedness, the classifications and the development of the concepts and theories of the talent and giftedness. Further, this course aims at informing the student with characteristics of the talent and giftedness and the identification tools. This course examines issues like counseling the gifted child and their problems and needs. This course emphasis the programs and curriculum of the talent and giftedness and the teaching approaches and the teaching strategies apply to that. This course also aims at informing the student with concepts of creativity and its elements. Pre-req Measurement and Diagnosis in (-0) The concepts of Measurement. Diagnosis, assessment, evaluation, Kinds of tests, psychometric characteristics for good test. Assessment aspects and tools. Methods for measurement and diagnosis in special education. Pre-req Early Intervention (-0) The early intervention's definitions ;target group and causes ; prevalence ; early intervention services ; handicap early identification ; prevention ; evaluate students' learning abilities, perceptual- motor- languagesocial- emotional- self caring- sensor development skills, educational services for the young handicapped children, families of the young handicapped children. Pre-req Speech and Language Disorders (-0) The main concepts of speech, language and communication.,normal speech and language development., Types of communication disorders,causes of speech and language disorders, Prevalence of communication disorders,the effects of speech-language disorders on general development,educational and therapeutic programs,needs and obstacles in Jordan in this area. Pre.req Physiological Psychology (-0) The concept of Physiology Science as well as presenting the nervous system and sensory functions, and interpretation of physiological behavior, sensory deprivation, and interpretation of physiological behavior and functions of the glands and the role of nerve cell in the memory and learning, sleep and mental illness and mental health, and the role of the brain in motivation, conscience and passion, and interpretation of sleep and dreams in terms of physiological, and interpretation of psychological and mental diseases in terms of physiological science.
11 Course Description Educational Programs for Special Needs (-0) This course addresses the concept of curriculum, individual educational plan IEP, and preparing suitable curriculums in Esp.Edu including: ways of identification and diagnostic, building the content of the curriculum and its strategies in teaching those categories. Pre.req Current Issues and Trends in (-0) The issues of the academic and social joint and up normal children's regulations, and the people who are working with up normal children, also, naming and organizing them, also, this course aims to know the up normal children's diagnostic problem and the attitudes towards them, in addition to disability. Pre.req Developmental Psychology (-0) The concept of developmental psychology, the factors that effect the developmental; process, theories, and methodologies, the characteristic of developmental stages like physical, cognitive, emotional, social characteristic and others in each stage. Pre.req Graduation Project (-0) students choose one subject in, to prepare a full research within the educational methodology research, which includes an Introduction and Theoretical Background, Review of Related Literature, Statement of the Problem. Purpose of the Study, Significance of the Study, Definitions of Terms, Limitations of the Study, Research Design, The Results of the Study, Discussions, Conclusions and Recommendations, and then discussing the research with the supervisor. Pre.req Field Training 9(9-0) The practical aspect which includes the activities and practical experiences that are organized in programs to prepare specialists. This will offer an opportunity for practical application under specialized technicians where they can practice the principles and theories that they have studied, and developing the required skills for students and providing them with what they need to function effectively by developing methods of teaching and planning, and applying and evaluating group creating. Vocational Rehabilitation of Special Needs (-0) The rehabilitation of special needs population by first defining it, then looking at the philosophical background and the reasons behind it. Also covers services involved. It looks at the various rehabilitation areas; such as medical, social, psychological, academic and vocational rehabilitation. And the services needed in order to facilitate their social and economic integration. Pre.req English Terms and Texts in (-0) Select varieties of subjects in the field of from different English references. Further, this course enables the student to learn and review different English terms in. This course gives the student insight information about each term and its usages and connections with the related handicapped category. This course enriches students' knowledge of terms that could be used in the field of in terms of their Arabic meaning. Pre.req
12 Course Description Designing and Producing Instructional Materials (-0) Educational aide. Identification, definitions and its importance in the learning process and its relationship with educational technology, also, the standards of selecting educational aids, communication and its elements and abstracts, moreover, psychological elements that help design educational methods and how it is prepared, and acquiring skills needed to produce various educational aids and training and use educational aids Pre.req EducationAncillary Services in Special (-0) These services support the process of, that includes the physical therapy functional and speech treatment. This course includes identifying the basic element of the different supplementary services. Also, it shows the medical objectives that are needed to be achieved through aids. Pre.req Social Work to Family and Child (-0) The concept of philosophy process methods principles and the field of social, it also discusses the role of communication in social work. Methods of Teaching Arabic (-0) The main branches of Arabic Language within its definition and its relation with each other and presenting the teaching strategies and the methods of each branch. This includes presenting complete models for some lessons to face some problems related to teaching Arabic through diagnosis, analyzing reasons and training on the ways of facing those problems such as listening, reading, oral expressions, written expressions and dictation. Moreover, acquiring the methods of teaching Arabic branches in different learning stages and the aids that may be used by students. Methods of Teaching Mathematics (-0) The strategies and learning modals such as direct instruction, using activity groups as well discovery approaches, inquiry, and cycle learning, computer-aidsd presentation of models for some lessons to address the problems and difficulties related to the teaching of mathematics through the diagnosis and analysis of the causes and training on methods of treatment and choosing the appropriate model for the teaching of mental activities, and training on the preparation of teaching aids such as audio recordings, and television, and micro teaching.
