2 INTRODUCTION ipads are becoming a common and powerful learning tool in the classroom. The educational value they add to students learning is evident with the amount of applications focused on maths, literacy and more general learning. The uses for an ipad are endless and it can be daunting for teachers to keep up with the pace of new developments. Momentum World has developed a number of training programme which enable teachers to get to grips with this amazing resource. This programme covers how to make films with an ipad and use it to enhance the curriculum. HOW DOES THIS TRAINING WORK? Our team will work with your staff to explore storytelling and introduce them to 10x10 film making, a simple process which limits the amount of footage gathered, thus making the editing process easier. The training then introduces imovie, a simple and widely avail editing tool. Momentum World provide you with easy to follow step by step instructions which can be passed on to students in the classroom so that everyone can produce simple and effective films. The training explores not only how to make a 10x10 film but also hot to use filming as a research tool with your students. This can enhance any curriculum area, making lessons more vibrant and engaging. WHO SHOULD ATTEND THIS COURSE? This training is suitable for teachers, as well as educational support staff or volunteers. Up to 8 participants can attend a course. No previous film making experience or technical knowledge is required. The Momentum World team will offer full support and guidance to all that attend.

3 WHY DO THIS? The simple techniques we teach will add value to your students learning journey and develop a range of transferable skills which will stay with them for life. In a digitally evolving society the skills gained will help with their journey through education As ipads are becoming more used in the classroom it seems only right that your school should have access to all the advantages these devices bring to learning. Film making is a simple and effective activity which benefits all involved and brings out the creativity of less academic students. This course aims to get staff working effectively with ipads as a creative tool for education. These skills are then shared with the students so film making can be used as a powerful tool to help students capture stories and topics relevant to their school curriculum. HOW LONG DOES IT ALL TAKE? The course will last for the duration of one school day (normal 9-3pm). The morning session covers the theory while the afternoon will help participants put into practise the skills they have learnt, through fun exercises and small group tutor inputs. ADDITIONAL SUPPORT The Momentum World team will provide all participants with colourful step by step guides on how to operate their ipads and editing programme for future reference, along with instructions on 10x10 film making and the storytelling process. Our team will also be available to give further advice and support by telephone or for as long as the participants require. Finally, we will help you to showcase your best films and share ideas and techniques with other teachers, through our 2020 Education online platform or other channels. 5 The training programme: Begin to explore 10x10 film making and how to storyboard your ideas. Tips to capture the best footage on the ipad and how the roles vary in a film team. imovie tutorial- how you can make impressive and creative films in a short period of time using ipad software. THE COURSE The course will teach participants the basics of the film making process and how to use imovie. Staff attending the course will then have the confidence to embed this into their lessons. The day covers 10x10 film making and the importance of storyboarding. Guidance notes are provided to all involved to help with any future questions.
