We currently work with various language schools such as Berlitz and ELC Manchester Academy of English that require rooms for their students. To help students relax after a hard day of rehearsals our team organised a series of social and induction events throughout their stay. At the Student Village, University of Bedfordshire we worked with key London 2012 partners to ensure they could accommodate their catering teams throughout the Olympic and Paralympics games. By car: We are located just off the A6, which connects the ring road (M602) to the city centre. Train/Bus: The accommodation is easily accessible by public transport. The nearest train station is Salford Crescent, which is located just 10 minutes away. There are multiple buses going into Manchester frequently. If you are travelling by bus, please visit tfgm.com to plan your journey. Air: Manchester International Airport is 15 miles from Salford Student Village. There are regular, direct train services to and from Salford Crescent station and Manchester Piccadilly. This includes our brand new en-suite accommodation Fitzroy and Wenlock Court, which opened in 2011 and 2012 respectively. Fitzroy and Wenlock Court offers a wide choice of accommodation from studio apartments to three, four, five, six or seven bedroom flats all ensuite. We also offer standard rooms with a shared bathroom and kitchen at various locations near the University in our managed properties. Summer accommodation options are also available at the Bedford campus of the University of Bedfordshire. London, with its world class attractions, including sightseeing or shopping, is only a 30 minute train ride away. Train: The Village is easily accessible by public transport. First Capital Connect services connect Luton with Bedford (23 min), London (34 min to St Pancras International; Farringdon; Barbican; Moorgate; City Thameslink; Blackfriars; and 50 min to London Bridge), East Croydon (64 min), Gatwick Airport Luton (80 Airport min) and Brighton (2 h) for the Parkway Station South Coast. Luton is also served by East Midlands Trains services from Sheffield and London St Pancras. Air: London Luton Airport has an increasing number of connections to Europe and within the UK. Luton Airport is only 2 miles away from Fitzroy & Wenlock Courts. It is a 5 to 10 minute taxi drive away or alternatively you can take the train. When you land at London Luton Airport, catch the Luton Airport shuttle bus from outside the terminal at Bay 1. This will take you to Luton Airport Parkway station in around 10 minutes, which is only one stop away from Luton train station. A local bus service is also available to Luton town centre. 9 Kitchen, Bournemouth University Village bournemouth university village Bournemouth offers many reasons to visit for the summer. The 7 miles of uninterrupted golden sandy beaches invite to sunbathe or get involved in a wide range of water sports. New Forrest, the national park offers a great variety of activities, whether it s hiking, cycling or visiting the wildlife park. In August, Bournemouth hosts the Bournemouth Air Show, the UK s biggest and free Air Show. Both Lyme Regis and Chesil House offer an excellent location in the heart of Bournemouth with great on-site facilities. Shared facilities include a large communal lounge and kitchen area and all our buildings offer free Wi-Fi throughout. Our village in Bournemouth offers a range of self-contained 5 or 6 bedroom flats with single bedrooms, all en-suite. Go down there for a stroll or to take part in one of the many water sports available. > Castlepoint Shopping Park Just located at the edge of Bournemouth Castlepoint is the largest shopping park in the UK with many of the biggest stores in the region. > The New Forest National Park Miles and miles of unspoilt ancient landscapes, wild ponies and deer, disused railways and leave lanes offer plenty to do for a day out. > Poole Poole is famous for its world s second largest natural harbour and sandbanks - one of the most expensive places to live. > Splashdown Waterpark This is a great day out an action water park near Poole with over 12 rides. Location Our village is located in the heart of Bournemouth, only 5 minutes walk away from the town centre with all its shops, cinema, theatre and parks and just ten minutes walk away from the beach. A mini supermarket is conveniently located at both Lyme Regis and Chesil House, right next door. Train: Both, Chesil and Lyme Regis House are easily accessible via public transport. The train station with trains connecting to London, Southampton airport and other destinations, such as Birmingham and Manchester, is only a five to ten minute walk away. Air: Southampton airport is the nearest airport and is only a 30 minute train ride away. The train station is right outside the airport entrance/exit. All major London airports are within easy reach via train from Bournemouth
