Bariatric More space on the sides means larger patients are afforded greater comfort and accommodation. Anxious Roomier where it matters most for greater comfort and less anxiety for all patients.
4 Workflow Efficiency with WIT Hitachi is committed not only to outstanding clinical performance of your MRI system, but also to improving the overall performance of your imaging practice. Echelon Oval meets this commitment through a comprehensive suite of features known as WIT, or Workflow Integrated Technology. Hitachi s WIT system optimizes the entire imaging process. From patient setup and positioning through scanning and image processing, WIT delivers the highest level of patient comfort and operator productivity. WIT Mobile Table The WIT Mobile Table delivers outstanding benefits to both patient and practice. Technologists can easily move the table to the patient rather than moving the patient to the table. This minimizes transfers for non-ambulatory and infirm patients. The ultra-wide WIT mobile table measures 63cm, providing comfort, capacity, and safety for large patients, and simplified patient positioning. The table mobility and extra width promote patient acclimation to alleviate anxiety. The large vertical range of motion provides easy patient accessibility, and the feet-first imaging capability further reduces patient anxiety. WIT Integrated RF Coil System The WIT integrated coil system is a Hitachi technological advancement that improves all three elements of MR imaging: patient comfort, throughput, and clinical results. The integrated body/spine coil system resides within the table itself, delivering quick setup and optimized workflow. Anterior coils are immediately accessible, lightweight, and easy to position. And intelligent element selection chooses optimum coil elements, which not only aids in improving workflow, but also works to consistently produce the best image quality. Digital Drive Dx digitizes (A/D conversion) the signal from the coils right at the gantry to prevent signal loss, and transmits the signal via fiber optics to minimize noise. The result is the highest possible SNR. Technologists can easily change WIT coils position for head-first or feet-first positioning. The WIT Mobile Table provides a wide range of workflow and safety features. WIT Monitor The WIT Monitor is located at the top of the gantry, allowing the technologist to review and adjust patient information with ease and efficiency, without leaving the patient. Wireless gating provides easy patient set-up, and the operator can verify gating function right at the gantry. WIT Origin MR Operating System From patient registration to exam completion, Echelon Oval s powerful Vertex II computer and Origin MR operating software deliver seamless workflow. Origin optimizes every facet of imaging workflow with features including ultra-fast acquisitions, motion compensation techniques, scan parameter guidance, interoperability, and AutoPose slice planning capabilities. The Origin Clinical Study Library, Graphical User Interface (GUI), Intelligent Parameter Guidance and Real-time Image Quality Calculator make scan planning a breeze for even the most complex examinations. With Echelon Oval, your operational efficiency is assured. The operator can initiate the scan, pause, and restart the scan while at the patient s side, another way Echelon Oval improves workflow while decreasing patient anxiety. Technologists can review and update patient information at the gantry. Simplified and fast patient registration AutoPose saves time and provides consistent results

7 Clinical Performance Echelon Oval delivers imaging for the full spectrum of clinical needs, providing high diagnostic confidence, even for the most challenging cases. Oval offers the latest high-end clinical capabilities, scanning and processing features to meet the clinical challenge in Neuro, Orthopedic, Body, Vascular, Breast imaging, now with VIVID image enhancement to significantly reduce noise while simultaneously enhancing fine structures and edges for all imaging sequences. Neuro Additive Arrangement Gradient Echo (ADAGE): High contrast T2* weighted images with reduced chemical shift and improved grey/white matter contrast in spine imaging. isofse: 3D volume FSE for T1, T2, PD and IR isotropic acquisition with high quality visualization through Multi-Planar Reformatting (MPR). BSI (Blood Sensitive Imaging): 3D multi-shot Gradient Echo EPI sequence provides high speed T2* weighted images that are sensitive to differences in magnetic susceptibility for excellent depiction of veins and hemorrhage. Diffusion Tensor and Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging (DTI & DKI): Provides advanced visualization and assessment of directional diffusion for the evaluation of neurological disorders. ASL Perfusion: A non-contrast method for advanced neuro study of brain perfusion. Provides analysis similar to dynamic susceptibility contrast perfusion but without the risk of a gadolidium based contrast agent. RADAR : Radial motion compensation technique for T1, T2, T2*, FLAIR, STIR, SE, BASG, primefse, or primefir type contrast as well as Time of Flight (TOF) angiography and gradient echo sequences. RAPID-RADAR: Combines the versatile RADAR acquisition with RAPID parallel image acceleration for motion artifact free images with little or no increase in scan time. SpectroSuite CSI: Chemical Shift Imaging provides for collection and analysis of metabolite concentrations over an easily and precisely placed multi-voxel region of interest. Musculoskeletal ADAGE: Combined echo acquisition provides high CNR and SNR images for excellent cartilage differentiation. Fat Saturation: Conventional CHESS type fat suppression complimented by Higher Order Active Shim Technology (HOAST). FatSep: Dixon method collects multiple TE values in one acquisition to separate fat and water signals. Particularly useful when tissue susceptibility, magnetic field inhomogeneity, administration of contrast agents, or presence of metal complicate other fat suppression methods. microte Imaging: High contrast imaging of tissue with very short T2 values such as cartilage, ligaments and tendons using a sub 1ms TE. Water Excitation: An alternative to CHESS type fat suppression, useful for dynamic studies and cartilage imaging applications in combination with Balanced SARGE, RF Spoiled SARGE or 3DGEIR sequences. T2 RelaxMap: Quantification of actual T2 values within a morphological image. The T2 values are displayed in a color overlay which can depict subtle tissue properties and anomalies. primefse and primefir: Adjustable bandwidth and direct TE selection for ultimate Fast Spin Echo flexibility. Bandwidth selection enables excellent depiction of anatomy in the presence of prostheses or metal. Vascular FLUTE : Fluoro triggering enables consistent capture of arterial phase. Real time scanning monitors artery of interest for bolus arrival, switching instantly to diagnostic scan. TRAQ : Time resolved imaging provides insight into dynamics of blood flow, enabling depiction of arterial/venous phases without consideration of bolus timing. PEAKS, RPEAKS, TPEAKS: Centric k-space ordering ensures consistent capture of arterial phase. Three different implementations provide clinical flexibility. VASC-ASL: Employs a spin labeling IR pulse to tag blood, enabling excellent depictions of vasculature without a contrast agent. This provides another MRA alternative for patients with compromised renal function, with application to for body and carotid artery imaging. VASC-FSE: Non-contrast PV MRA acquires image data during systole and diastole. Subtraction of the images produces high resolution depiction of arterial flow. BeamSat MRA: Provides the user the ability to define and place a saturation beam when performing vessel studies, allowing the user to selectively disable specific vessels from contributing to the image, which can localize sources of blood flow when depicting vascular anomalies. BeamSat TOF (Time of Flight): Source of crossflow of blood in the Circle of Willis can be determined by saturating the contribution of either left or right carotid artery. BeamSat VASC-ASL: Complex blood flow analysis of abdominal vessels such as messianic and splenic veins as well as renal and liver vessels. Signal Intensity Ratio (SIR) Map: Used in conjunction with Hitachi s RADAR-SE sequence to provide a quantitative measure of carotid plaque. The intensity ratio is displayed as a color overlay on the anatomic image, can provide insight into the components of arterial plaque. Inspired By Your Patients Echelon Oval brings together all the key attributes of a leading 1.5T MR system optimized patient accessibility, workflow, and clinical capabilities all covered by Hitachi s industry leading customer support. Body and Breast RAPID: Image based parallel imaging acceleration allows users to employ either a prescan calibrated technique for the fastest possible imaging or a self-calibrating technique for excellent image quality even with physiological motion. K-RAPID (Available with TIGRE sequence): k-space based parallel imaging acceleration for dynamic body and breast imaging. RAPID-RADAR: Combines the versatile RADAR acquisition with RAPID for fast freebreathing motion suppressed abdominal imaging. TIGRE : Fast T1 weighted 3D Gradient Echo sequence with fat suppression delivers high spatial and high temporal resolution for outstanding dynamic imaging.
