2 Psters Graphic Design Wrk with graphic designer t ensure pster design is cmpleted n time Make sure t get a Facebk prfile picture versin and banner versin (See Scial Media) Printing Psters are printed thrugh the Byntn Hall print shp Standard size is 13x19 Ttal number t print: 150 Numbers and Lcatins On Campus 60 t Res Services in East Hall 5 fr Campus Center 10 fr Salisbury (give t Karen/Margaret in the HU&A ffice) ~4 fr each academic building AK Washburn Olin Fuller Strattn Higgins Labs Gddard Make sure there is a pster fr Susan s ffice and a pster fr Erika s ffice Off Campus Clleges Clark (~4) Becker (~4) Assumptin (2) Wrcester State (~10) These are nearby clleges. When hanging psters at ther schls, d nt hang the psters n randm bulletin bards that yu see. Always g first t the Campus Center, Activities Office, r equivalent and ask them fr prtcl. In sme situatins this ffice will hang the psters fr yu, in ther situatins (Wrcester State fr example), yu may receive a list f buildings with lcatins that yu may hang psters in. Yu must respect these prtcls.

Many businesses will be happy t let yu hang the pster in a windw r n a bulletin bard. Remember t bring tape just in case! Scial Media Facebk Events Masque s Facebk grup is called WPI Masque. The admin f this grup is the current VP- Publicity. Cntact the VP-Publicity t acquire Cntent Creatr Privileges fr the duratin f the prductin. This will allw yu t pst and create events as WPI Masque. Yu shuld: Create a Facebk event fr the shw cntaining the fllwing infrmatin: The title The lcatin Banner picture The dates and times A URL fr ticket reservatins A cntact A blurb abut the shw Example template (Des nt need t be exactly this): (blurb abut the shw) Cme find ut when Masque and WPI's Department f Humanities and Arts presents (shw title) by (shw authr)! Shws will be in WPI's Little Theatre (dates) at (time). Ticket Reservatins are available at wpi.edu/~theatre. Fr mre infrmatin, please cntact (shw ) Yu shuld invite peple t this event and share it as thugh every persn yu have ever met will want t g (this is yur jb). Get thers t like it, share it, pst abut it, etc.

4 Prfile and Banner Pictures Yu shuld wrk with the Graphic Designer t get tgether a Facebk banner picture and a Facebk prfile picture. This is NOT the pster, but an augmented versin fr enthusiastic cast/crew/etc. t set as their pictures. This banner picture is used n the WPI Masque Facebk event as well. Examples: Take a pster and then.. Prfile picture Banner picture Yu want the text t be readable in each. That is ne reasn why this shuld nt be a tiny versin f the pster, which wuld likely be unreadable. Windw Painting Ask WPI bkstre manager t bk windw fr weekend / week f shw Bk it AT LEAST a week in advance, but tw weeks is preferred and the earlier the better. Reserve the windw fr ne day befre yu want t advertise- this is the day yu paint the windw. (Fr example: reserve the windw Sunday thrugh Saturday s yu can paint the windw n Sunday night and have it up thrugh the Saturday f the shw.) If yu dn t feel cmfrtable painting the windw yurself, ask arund! There are tns f talented painters arund here! Masque wns windw paints. They shuld be in the studi. Ask yur prducer abut acquiring these. If they are nt sure, ask yur VP-Publicity n exec. Hint: it s great t paint the windw behind yur table fr table sitting. Table Sitting Reserving a Table Tables can be reserved in tw ways: Talk t Kim Wykes in the Events Office in the Campus Center Reserve a table thrugh 25live Tables are titled as CC INDOOR TABLE (#)

6 The Twers** (See The Twers) Phtgraphs Make sure there is a phtgrapher fr the shw Have phts taken at a dress rehearsal Use the phts fr the Masque Website, The Twers article, the WPI website, and anywhere else apprpriate. The Twers Tell The Twers abut the shw well in advance. Send them the dates f the shw, a press release, and phts*. Wrk with them t make sure they have the infrmatin they need t cver the shw. *Phts may nt be available until the last minute. Let them knw that yu will have phts but still send them the rest f the infrmatin in advance. They may be able t add yur phts befre publicatin. Masque Website Cntact current VP-Publicity abut putting infrmatin n the Masque Website Send the dates / times, a press release, any relevant infrmatin. Send pictures when yu have them. WPI Website Cntact the Marketing department abut having the shw prmted n the WPI hmepage They require a gd/prfessinal phtgraph 815px by 283px Yu must crp/size it t this yurself Get in cntact with them early and send them the basic infrmatin f the shw. They may ask yu fr a blurb r write ne themselves. Talk t yur Prducer early t check and make a plan. Prgrams change n a shw by shw basis, but respnsibilities generally include but are nt limited t: Crdinate with Graphic Designer n a design and layut fr prgram Get cast list, tech list, directr s nte, etc. Get prgrams printed Creative Publicity Ideas Brainstrm unique publicity ideas that are very specific t the shw Talk t the directr and crdinate any special plans Examples Cubes all ver campus (NV31) Dress up bth in shw-themed cstumes Flash mb in Campus Center Walk arund campus dressed up in cstumes Give ut/sell shw-theme related fd Chalk numbers all ver campus Or cming sn. YOU RE COOL IDEA! An idea unique t yur shw is crucial t getting nticed! Yu want peple asking questins. What are thse cubes fr? Why is everyne wearing red tday? Is there smething ging n? THIS REALLY HELPS TO SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT YOUR SHOW utside f the theater cmmunity.
