3 Director of Sponsorship and Finance As the Director of Sponsorship and Finance you will be responsible in building and managing IAS funds. You can exercise your networking and financial management skills in this role as an alumni leader. If you have experience in this area or just want to enhance your skills to help in your career, this role is for you. Building and Maintaining IAS accounts and financial reporting Sourcing sponsorship and funding for IAS events Closely working with Director of Administration and General Counsel to ensure records are accurately and consistently maintained. Creating IAS financial requirements analysis to be presented to DUA U of T alumnus (Must have graduated IT2 or earlier from any full time program) Basic accounting knowledge Prior experience in financial application in university or career is preferred Prior experience in acquiring sponsors is preferred 2

4 Director of Marketing and Public Relations As the Director of Marketing and Public Relations you will be responsible for marketing and promoting IAS to students and alumni. In this role you will grow the IAS community by exercising your ability to attract and retain new members. You are expected to use networking and marketing skills to make IAS more visible to U of T s Indian Alumni community. Building marketing materials to promote IAS Communicating with students or alumnus for queries, concerns and feedback Reporting the Voice of Student and Alumni to IAS executive team Closely working with Director of Social Media to promote and market IAS through media channels U of T alumnus (Must have graduated IT2 or earlier from any full time program) Proven marketing knowledge and/or interest Proficient in graphic design or editing using any software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop or MS Publisher) Knowledge in video editing is an asset 3

5 Director of Social Media As the Director of Social Media you will be responsible for IAS s online presence through social media channels. In this role you will represent IAS through channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. You are expected to periodically but consistently convey IAS s communications through its web presence. Role of Vanguard to IAS and inbox Creating and maintaining IAS pages on (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Posting any acceptable current news related (but not limited to) U of T, IAS, Indo-Canadian updates Monitoring information to ensure that it follows IAS communication policy Filtering or eliminating any correspondence that violates IAS communication policy or code of ethics Closely working with Director of Marketing and Public Relations to promote and market IAS through media channels U of T alumnus (Must have graduated IT2 or earlier from any full time program) Proven interest in building an online presence through social media (personal web presence will be assessed) Technology savvy 4

6 Director of Administration and General Counsel As the Director of Administration you will be responsible for IAS records management in the administrative and legal capacity. In this role you will be responsible for the accuracy and integrity IAS information database. You are expected to periodically but consistently update any IAS administrative, financial or legal materials on authorized databases. You are also expected to create administrative materials in a standardized and comprehensive format Role of Vanguard to IAS information database Ensure the IAS information database is up to date, accurate and compliant as per IAS communications policy Review, communicate or implement any changes as a result of relevant U of T, DUA and/or UTAA announcements or policy changes Recording meeting minutes in a consistent, standardized format Flexibility to create and ensure compliance of IAS trademarks, copyrights and disclaimers in a legal capacity Closely working with Director of Marketing and Public Relations to promote and market IAS through media channels U of T alumnus (Must have graduated IT2 or earlier from any full time program) Experience in using Google Drive and/or Dropbox Detail oriented Technology savvy 5

7 Student Life Ambassador (3rd and 4th years only) As the Student Life Ambassador you will be responsible for marketing and promoting IAS to students. In this role you will help the IAS board of Director with growing the IAS community by exercising your ability to attract and retain new student members. You are expected to use networking and marketing skills to make IAS more visible to U of T s Indian Students community. 8 District Managers As a District Manager you will be responsible for marketing and promoting IAS to members of your district. In this role you will help the IAS board of Director with growing the IAS community by exercising your ability to attract and retain new IAS members. You are expected to use networking and marketing skills to make IAS more visible to UofT graduates in your community. Building marketing materials of interest to members to promote IAS Communicating with members for queries, concerns and feedback Reporting the Voice of Members to IAS executive team Closely working with Director of Social Media, as well as Director of Marketing and Public relations to promote and market IAS through media channels Availability for bi-weekly/monthly IAS meetings and IAS events (4-8 per year) Responsible for at min of 4 events in your district alumnus (Must have graduated IT2 or earlier from any full time program) Proven marketing knowledge and/or interest Knowledge in graphic design or editing using any software (e.g. Adobe Photoshop or MS Publisher) an asset Knowledge in video editing is an asset 7
