1 Job Description Job title: Location: Salary: Hours: Contract type: Digital and Marketing Executive Tower Hill London 27, per week Six month contract Main purpose of job Operational support for Alzheimer s Society s digital marketing and social media activity, including responsibility for digital marketing channels and delivering online campaigns. Working with the Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager in creating and approving posts and content for Facebook and Twitter. Producing regular analytics reports. Position in organisation This is a temporary position reporting to the Digital marketing and Social Media Manager (DMSMM) and sits with the Digital Team within the External Affairs Directorate. There are no line management responsibilities. Scope of Job Management of the implementation of digital marketing activity. Provide professional overview of digital marketing initiatives and take operational responsibility for their implementation. Shared responsibility for increasing traffic to all Alzheimer s Society websites. Helping to manage social media pages and working with teams across the organisation to generate content. Duties and Key responsibilities Content and copy Assisting with creating, editing and publishing content updates and web page on using the Content Management System (CMS) Creating and editing content for Facebook, Twitter, and e-newsletters on occasion. Ensuring content is optimised for search engines. Developing model replies and shaping other communications. 2 Responsible for communication with subscribers to our social networking activity. Helping to report on social media activity and making recommendations to address gaps as appropriate. Ensure our social media channels are free of spam. Digital Marketing Create and implement advertising campaigns and posts on Facebook and Twitter, ensuring appropriate messaging for the audience. Responsible for managing the website banner ad schedule. Help mazimise traffic and conversion rates from both our Google Grants and paid AdWords accounts. Support other teams with their digital needs and contribute to maximising income providing advice and best practices and suggested approaches as appropriate. Analytics & Reporting Work with DMSSM to disseminate trends in user activity to content owners and the wider organisation. Ensuring that this information is easy to understand and appropriate for a wide ranging audience. Use Analytics to report back on the performance of all digital marketing campaigns and social media activity. Project Management To manage cross-directorate digital marketing and social media campaigns as directed by the DMSMM. Commissioning of agencies, contractors, volunteers, where appropriate. 2 of 5

3 Person Specification Digital Marketing Executive Education/qualifications/knowledge Degree or equivalent professional/technical qualification Significant experience of digital marketing Proven experience working in a digital environment Knowledge of latest relevant technology, internet usage and emerging trends Experience required Commercially aware with proven internet marketing experience A practical understanding of digital marketing, its implementation, analysis and management Experience managing or contributing to an organisation s social media activity Experience of sending communications Working with outside consultants and a wide range of stakeholders Skills and knowledge Knowledge of Google Analytics Knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) Knowledge of marketing platforms Knowledge of Facebook and Twitter advertising Knowledge and understanding of Social Media Experience of producing reports and recommendations Understanding of data protection legislation Excellent written communication and presentation skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to review and interpret data Knowledge and understanding of Search Engine Optimisation Using PPC Google AdWords both as a stand alone campaign and as part of a broader campaign Excellent PC skills (Word, Excel, Outlook) Desirable experience Project management LinkedIn advertising Voluntary sector experience Budget management Knowledge of HTML Basic Photoshop knowledge Working specifically on Events fundraising using digital and social media marketing.
