YOU SHOULD PLAN ON ARRIVING AT GANSETT RIDES AT LEAST 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO YOUR SCHEDULED RENTAL Yur rental des nt begin until yu are seated n the PWC. Befre yur adventure can begin, unless yu have a PWC (Persnal Water Craft) certificatin frm yur state (yu will need t present the certificate,) yu will be required t watch a 15 minute PWC rientatin/safety vide. Immediately fllwing, yu will be given a 10 questin, multiple chice test which yu will need t pass in rder t rent a PWC. At that pint, we can prceed n t the paperwrk. Included in yur rental is/are PFD s (Persnal Flatatin Devices.) Befre heading dwn t the launch ramp, yu will receive a land rientatin specific t ur PWC s which will again be reviewed nce yu arrive and bard the PWC. Yu will be instructed n the safe peratin f yur Jet Ski s yu will be fully infrmed abut yur rental! Then yu will be ready t venture ut t ur large, safe riding area. The bundaries will be identified fr yur safety. Additinally, GANSETT RIDES has a patrl r escrt/sptter n standby viewing ur riding area the entire time f yur rental in the event that yu shuld require assistance. There is n extra fee fr fuel, il, life jackets r passengers. Parents r guardians must sign fr all passengers under 18 years f age. Passengers under 18 must have a parent r guardian present during rental usage. Passengers must be at least 42" tall. N alchl r drug cnsumptin is permitted at any time during the Jet Ski rental. Ride at yur current skill level D nt push yur limit. Be careful, vigilant and practice safety at all times. D nt perate the jet ski in any manner ther than with bth hands n the steering apparatus, bth feet in the ft wells and always seated n the seat. N racing, twing f any type is permitted whatsever. Only tw (2) persns are allwed n the Jet Ski at any time. There is a 500 pund weight limit. Rentals are inspected befre and after rental perid. Renter(s) is/are respnsible fr all r any damage, repair and labr csts. EXCEPTIONS. Any Jet Ski rllver requires a minimum inspectin/cleaning fee f $ NO EXCEPTIONS! 2 Damage Depsit A $500 per watercraft depsit is required fr each rental. This depsit is dne with a credit card prir t yur rental. All rentals require a depsit. NO EXCEPTIONS! If damage ccurs and machine cannt be rented until repairs are made, yu will lse the entire depsit. Examples f a $500 fee are a large hle r crack in machine allwing water t enter hull, damage t rear jet frm rear ending anther Jet Ski r driving utside f marked riding area which causes damage t the impellr. If minr damage ccurs t rub rail r bumpers r yu cause small scratches r knicks t the machine, then yu will be refunded nly half f yur depsit fr a charge f $250 fr the repairs. If watercraft is ttaled and cannt be repaired, a $1,000 fee is charged t yur credit card. This is the deductible t replace the ski. When yu return the jet ski in the same cnditin as it was prir t yur departure, yur depsit will immediately be credited back t yu credit card. Yu must return t the shp in rder that we may swipe yur credit card fr depsit return. The Legal Requirements f Bating Requirements Specific t Persnal Watercraft (PWCs) In additin t adhering t all bating laws, persnal watercraft (PWC) peratrs have requirements specific t their vessel. Each persn riding n a PWC must wear a U.S. Cast Guard apprved Type I, II, III, r V persnal fltatin device (life jacket). If the PWC is equipped with a lanyard-type ignitin safety switch, the lanyard must be attached t the persn, clthing, r life jacket f the peratr. PWCs may nt be perated between ne-half hur after sunset and ne-half hur befre sunrise. PWCs must be perated in a reasnable and prudent manner at all times. Fr example, it is illegal t: Jump the wake f anther vessel unnecessarily clse t the ther vessel. Weave yur PWC thrugh cngested traffic. Swerve at the last mment t avid cllisin. N ne may perate a PWC at greater than headway speed within 200 feet f swimmers, divers, the shreline, r mred vessels. When launched frm shre r returning t shre, PWCs must prceed directly t the area where peratin is allwed in a directin as near perpendicular as pssible and nt in excess f headway speed. Anyne perating a PWC, regardless f age, must have passed an apprved bater educatin curse. It is illegal fr the wner f a PWC t knwingly permit peratin f his r her PWC in vilatin f this law. State Law des require helmet use by all passengers. Remember yur meln, yur decisin! The Rules f the Rad are the same fr scters as with any ther mtr vehicle. Renter Cverage includes: State Statutry limits f liability $2,500 per persn/$5000 aggregate medical payments Including Guest Passenger Liability Fr reservatins, a nn-refundable depsit f the cst f yur rental is required.
