1 Statements on Rooms Moscow/MIFS 2014 Heidrun Brinkmeyer, Managing Director, Ballerina Küchen Heinz-Erwin Ellersiek GmbH: We are very happy with the organisation; Koelnmesse gave us a lot of help with our trade show preparations. The halls are very sophisticated and offer the right environment for the show. As far as we can see, the level of visitor traffic is very good. The visitors include traders as well as architects and designers. Our expectations with regard to new customer contacts were entirely fulfilled, and we would certainly be positively disposed towards participating in another fair. Bernhard Hartmann, Managing Director, Hartmann Möbelwerke GmbH: The fair was well attended and presentation was better than last year. The level of visitor traffic was particularly noteworthy, with a good mix of new contacts, including traders from the regions and end consumers. Koelnmesse s trade show package was ideal and the May date suits us, because it is not really affected by other events and the conditions with regard to the weather, traffic, etc. are better. Alexey Mezenev, Sales and Marketing Director, Interprint RUS: In comparison to Rooms Moscow/MIFS in 2013, the trade show has developed significantly with regard to its size and number of visitors. We were able to gain new contacts among designers and furniture producers. The May date is good in even-numbered years, although in the odd-numbered years we meet all the decision-makers at interzum in Cologne. Peter Schönhofen, Founder, Owner and Managing Partner of Kare Design GmbH: Rooms Moscow/MIFS has a good concept and is a young trade show with modern customers who are open to new things. We were able to welcome a lot of B2B visitors, designers and architects to our stand in a relaxed atmosphere and to conclude four preliminary franchise contracts. 2 Jens Gross, Sales Manager, Meise Möbel: This is the first time we ve been involved in Rooms Moscow/MIFS 2014, and our aim was to establish ourselves better internationally and support our Russian sales agency through our appearance here. We were able to gain new customers, predominantly retailers with two or three outlets. Super organisation, excellent stand construction; one of the best trade shows aside from imm cologne. Our aim is to further expand retail structures still unfamiliar to us, and we are planning to participate in Rooms Moscow/MIFS again. 2/5 Jörn Timmermann CEO, PAIDI Kindermöbel - MERCATUS Rickers & Timmermann GmbH: Between Tuesday and Friday we had around 80 retailers and 160 end consumers visit our stand. Our expectations were thus exceeded. Our new EIKE range of children s furniture made of oak was very well received, as was the new TABLO child s desk. We have received a big order for children s desks for the start of the new Russian school year on 1 September. The Rooms Moscow/MIFS exhibition was visited by a lot of people and Koelnmesse s organisation of the German group display was perfect. Botho Reichmann, Design Award Project Manager, German Design Council: Compared to 2013, Rooms Moscow/MIFS has improved a lot in terms of its design. The visitors were open-minded and interested, and comprised a mixture of industry representatives and consumers with contact potential for the exhibited products. Our intention is to cultivate new tastes so that Russian designers are encouraged to integrate more in the European market and thus to strengthen contacts between Western Europe and Russia. Rabah M. Sakr, Regional Director of Sales for the Middle East & North Africa, Sealy Middle East Mattress Trading LLC: The organisation and customer service were very good. We were visited by a lot of retailers, and the contract business is of increased interest to us here. We were able to use the platform to intensify our contacts and we ll be back next year with a more impressive stand covering a larger area.

3 Roger Straessle, Market Division Manager, Spühl AG: Rooms Moscow/MIFS was flawless and extremely well organised. The exhibition is a magnet for the entire Russian bed and furniture industry, which not only sets product trends, but also offers exhibitors the chance to meet new customers spontaneously. 3/5 Ulf Thielemeyer, Managing Director, Thielemeyer GmbH & Co. KG: Rooms Moscow/MIFS was very well attended. We have been able to gain new contacts among furniture retailers and end consumers. In doing so, it has been interesting to see how the latter view our products. It was a good thing for us to participate in this exhibition. Timo Stiegler, Marketing, Vauth-Sagel Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG: Organisation, halls, location, execution, set up, communication with the organiser it all worked perfectly. We would have liked to see another two or three big kitchen manufacturers, but we re happy to give this young exhibition more time to develop. We could already see a step up from last year and all the important customers were there. We were able to present all product innovations successfully, and were supported in this by the Russian sales agent. Natalia Peksheva, General Director, Ametist Co: The exhibition Rooms Moscow / MIFS is staged in absolutely right time. This is a successful season for both furniture companies and producers of components and fittings to show their new collections. In fall, when the traditional furniture season starts, newcomers can be seen in stores and they will definitely turn into bestsellers. That is why it is so important to attend exactly the spring exhibition. MIFS/Rooms Moscow has become the information partner of our ArtLeague contest this year. We arranged an awarding ceremony for winners at the exhibition. I appreciate assistance and excellent logistics of exhibition organizers! Anna Leonova, Design Village Project Supervisor: Design Village project has no counterparts. Not a single exhibition in Russia offers such a unique floor for presentation of young Russian design. In 2014 Design Village project brings together innovators with works from unique materials and forms, designers personifying traditional ideas in new versions,

4 young craftsmen working in a popular recycle-art design segment, and designers creating furniture items with intimate expression. 4/5 R. N. Vereschagin, Deputy General Director, Antares Co.: Antares is a traditional participant in spring furniture exhibition in Crocus Expo. We display new furniture factories and newly-designed products every time. In our opinion, this year brings more new target clients, for whose benefit we take part in the MIFS/Rooms Moscow. Sitnikova, General Director, EURASIA Company: Speaking about the Exhibition at large, I like your personal approach as sponsors and approach of Media Globe Director Alexei Striganov in particular towards setup of business process. I would like that you reach the target for your exhibition to become the only one! Ivan Khodyrev, Studio Workshop Atelier, designer/participant in Design Village: This is an excellent venue. Design Village project provided me as a novice designer with an opportunity to get acquainted with other designers: with those that have just start practicing design and those that have been in this sphere for a long time. Furthermore, it is very positive that my works were seen by interior designers, architects, decorators, furniture producers and simply people interested in object design and desirous of filling the interior in with something new and beautiful. Anatoly Gru, President, Arben Textile: We especially like the venue where MIFS/Rooms Moscow is taking place. Crocus Expo is the most convenient exhibition centre. It has excellent roomy halls and common space of the exhibition in a single pavilion. We support this exhibition! We as the fabric producer and supplier of furniture materials welcome time of the exhibition. Furniture is a seasonal business and spring is on the eve of high season of sales.

5 Vladislav Slobodin, Head of Marketing Department, Courage Co.: We decided to take part in MIFS/Rooms Moscow this year. Halls are sorted well and convenient for visitors. Passages are wide, layout of exhibitors is successful, and displays are convenient for touring. We are highly satisfied with our space. We do not stay unnoticed. There are many decent stands, excellent style of display, and sound composition of participants. The design area Design Village is excellent. 5/5 E. A. Zubchenko, Marketing Director, VITRA Furniture Factory: Excellent organization of the exhibition and outstanding venue. Logistical matters are always resolved quickly and in a prompt manner. Exhibition structure is clear-cut, with convenient layout of stands. Organizers did their best! Spring exhibition is excellent time for contracting. There is an opportunity to perform the contract in summer and go to stores with products already in fall. I wish Rooms Moscow / MIFS became the primary national exhibition! Oleg N. Numerov, General Director, Association of Russian Furniture and Woodworking Industry Enterprises: We notice interesting new ideas, new design, and new elements in the MIFS/Rooms Moscow at present. A large-scale business program taking place within the Exhibition framework deserves mentioning. It is primarily aimed at improving our performance and overcoming those difficulties and complexities we are to resolve. Alexei Striganov, General Director, Media Globe Crocus: Russian and foreign manufacturers and suppliers of furniture, fittings, and components take part in the exhibition. There is presented a large display of producers of furniture fabrics and components. Taking into consideration challenges and difficulties the furniture industry is facing for the time being, we are pleased that MIFS/Rooms Moscow is a strongly sought-for business venue and that we have standing friendly and businesslike relations with furniture companies and furniture industry stakeholders developing their business in Russia.
