At BASELWORLD, some 2,200 exhibitors from the watch, jewellery, gemstone and related sectors present their new products to more than 85,000 visitors. Many of the world s leading producers of watches and jewellery exhibit their products exclusively at BASELWORLD. This gives you the opportunity to gain an exclusive view of the very latest creations. The selection of products on show at BASELWORLD is unique. Nowhere else will you find products from the entire industry, divided up into clear segments, at a single event. BASELWORLD offers the ideal platform for discovering innovations, seeing the latest trends, forging contacts and concluding business deals. 5 Online Ticket Our visitors online-ticket service allows you to purchase a ticket for the BASELWORLD or convert an exhibitor s invitation into an admission ticket on our website. This service is available right up to the last day of the Show. Print out your own admission ticket and save time with the BASELWORLD online-ticket. For more information, see The Catalogue Branch Directory and CD-ROM The Catalogue and the CD-ROM are the indispensable reference works for visitors and exhibitors during the Show. The Catalogue and CD-ROM are on sale separately, for CHF 40., at the BASEL- WORLD information desks during the Show. They can also be ordered online at Online Catalogue A variety of search tools are available to browse the extensive interactive online catalogue. You can choose to search the exhibitor list by company name or brand/trademark as well as by individual halls or products. Information/Welcome Desks BASELWORLD Welcome Desks, providing information about the Show, are situated at Unique Airport in Zurich (Terminals 1 and 2), EuroAirport Basel and the railway station (SBB) in Basel. In addition, there are several information points at the main entrance of each exhibition hall and in the halls themselves. Our hostesses will be on hand to answer your questions. Business Centre The Business Centre is equipped with all the technological facilities you might need during your time at the Show. It offers the BASELWORLD visitors the opportunity to work in elegant surroundings or to relax while reading the major international newspapers and magazines. The various country associations are represented at information booths in the Business Centre. The Business Centre is situated on the first floor of the foyer in Hall 1 near the Press Centre. 4

7 Media Centre In the Media Centre on the Exhibition Square, you will find copies of international daily and business newspapers, selected fashion and lifestyle magazines and all trade publications relating to the watch and jewellery industry. Restaurants The city of Basel and the surrounding region provide you with a wide selection of culinary delights. 16 ARRIVAL Airport The EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg is only a few minutes drive from the exhibition venue. The Unique Airport in Zurich is approximately one-hour train ride from Basel. A shuttle runs regularly between both airports and the exhibition site. 17 Rail Special offer For transport within Switzerland, BASELWORLD has collaborated with the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB) to offer the Kombi Ticket, the round-trip BASELWORLD-RailTicket, the short-term season ticket and the BASELWORLD-RailCard, valid from 30 March 6 April These special passes can be bought at any railway station in Switzerland and include the tram transfer to and from the Messeplatz/Exhibition square in Basel.
