1 Hull Kingston Radio Local Radio Just Got Exciting Launching May 2014
2 Welcome Hull Kingston radio is a brand new radio station for Hull and beyond The station s creation is supported by Hull Kingston Rovers, KCOM Group, Hull City Council and the City Health Care Partnership. It will broadcast from purpose built digital studios at the KC Lightstream Stadium 24/7, 365 days a year. We launched online initially during May 2014, and we intend to be broadcasting on DAB two to three months after, giving us a wide Humber region transmission range with full clarity. In May 2014 the station was awarded an FM community broadcasting licence by Ofcom, and we will be in a position to be broadcasting on FM in late summer of 2014.
3 On Air at Hull Kingston Radio Hull Kingston Radio will be an entertaining and informative radio station which will broadcast music and speech along with live sport that truly reflects the different tastes of our vibrant community. Uniquely, we will support the growth of the region s cultural industry. At least 25% of our playlist will be locally produced music. Sport will play a major part of our output. Every Hull KR game will have LIVE uninterrupted commentary, complete with pre-match build up and exclusive after match reaction. We will also have live commentary of the Hull Stingrays games and other sporting events in the City plus regular match reports and fans forums for Hull City, Hull KR, Hull FC and the Hull Stingrays.
