25 Operation experience Reliability improving from first to third project. Very good reliability in Saignelégier, excellent in Fribourg (Cremo) Very robust collector and tracking. No adjustments, no replacements, except Two headaches: Flexible hoses and snow Thermal performance of collector fields meets expectations Savings for client at Saignelégier below expectation: 10-15% lost due to excess heat in Summer Currently about 40% lower savings due to low oil price O&M cost low at Saignelégier and Cremo, but too high at small LESA Bever plant SHIP 2015 Montpellier Page 25
26 Conclusions The technology is fit for applications in industry Durable, reliable, low O&M The collectors perform very well and at constant level Plants should be > 500 m2 collector aperture (250 kw th ) In the current environment and in most places relatively high subsidies are needed to make the choice for SHIP attractive It is still early times - massive cost reductions and technology improvements are still ahead.
