1 An Outlook on the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Climate Change CMCC
2 Introduction to CMCC CMCC is the Italian Research Centre on Climate Science and Policy. Supported by the Italian Ministry for the Environment Land and Sea, the Ministry for Education, University and Research and the Ministry for Economy CMCC was established in 2005 from the experience of Six Italian Research Institutions (Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei, Università degli Studi del Salento, Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali, Consorzio Venezia Ricerche, Università degli Studi del Sannio). CMCC hosts the IPCC Italian Focal Point 2
3 CMCC Mission To act as a vertically integrated research centre able to produce scientific studies, assessments and investigations in climate change science, CMCC mission is to act as a unique vertically integrated research centre contributing to develop strategies and to inform policies, with a global able approach to produce but complete a with scientific a studies in the climate change sector and to support the specific emission focus reduction on policies, with a global the Mediterranean region approach but a specific focus on the Mediterranean region 3
