2 ICT Vlume Installing Videcnference Systems Page 2 1 Camera and display munting heights The Deakin ICT Vlume 2.3 Standard s requirements are satisfied by the fllwing munting rules and heights listed in tables belw, which must always be adhered t. Refer als ICT Resurce Sight Lines fr related infrmatin. Prjectrs are nt recmmended fr videcnference meeting rms, and shuld generally be restricted t teaching spaces. Displays: Cameras: Credenzas: 2H 6H viewing distance rule must be adhered t therwise gd eye cntact and camera viewing angles becme t hard t achieve Numerical values given in tables belw assume and require that the 2H 6H rule applies. camera is never t be munted beneath the display camera is never t be munted belw eye height (1250 AFFL) camera angle dwnwards t eye-level must nt exceed 15 single display systems: camera t be munted immediately abve the display, except as nted belw dual display systems: camera t be munted between the displays, preferably at 2/3 rd the image height, except as mdified by ther cnstraints f the Standard. 5 ICT Vlume Installing Videcnference Systems Page AV06 and AV08 Displays shuld generally fllw the same rules as abve, in particular: SmartBards must be munted with lwer edge f image at 700 mm AFFL. Camera 1 (frnt, audience-facing camera) shuld ideally fllw the same rules as abve fr AV04. Where this is nt pssible (e.g. clearance required t minimize risk f bumping, damage theft, camera shall be between 2100 mm and a maximum f 2500 mm AFFL. Camera 2 (presenter-facing camera) shall be munted between 2100 mm and a maximum f 2500 mm AFFL. Fr AV06, camera is nrmally munted n the rear wall. Fr AV08, camera shuld be munted sufficiently frward in the theatre s that it can be zmed in t capture a head-and-shulders clse-sht f the presenter this culd require munt descending frm the ceiling, which must be sturdy and vibratin free. Laterally, the camera shuld be psitined s that the presenter, when at their nrmal psitin behind the presenter s desk, is lking directly twards the camera when they are lking at the exact centre f the auditrium.

6 ICT Vlume Installing Videcnference Systems Page 6 2 Munting the C-series cdec 2.1 Imprtant instructins t prevent verheating: In credenzas and racks there must be adequate air flw t prevent heat build up ambient temperature within the enclsure must nt exceed 35C. The cdec must nt have anything placed directly n tp f it. The cdec shuld have at least 1RU clear space abve it. The cdec shuld have at least 1RU clear space belw it if rack-munted abve anther heat surce. The C20 must have adequate clear air space behind it, with cables rganized s as nt t bstruct clear air flw fr the rear-facing fans (e.g. see Figure 1 belw). The C60 and C90 must have a minimum 100 mm unbstructed clear air space in frnt f it s as t prevent clsed-lp air circulatin: C60/C The cdec may be munted in the fllwing lcatins:
