In September 2014 the SSO will make its debut at the BBC Proms in London, one of the greatest music festivals in the world. Established in 1979, the SSO s versatile repertoire spans the all-time favourites and orchestral masterpieces to exciting cutting-edge premieres, with Asian and Singaporean musicians and composers featuring prominently in the concert season. Through its many Community Outreach activities, the SSO hopes to bring the enjoyment of classical music performances to all segments of our community, and to develop new audiences through its wide-ranging programmes.
