3 How IP Voice Connect TM works 1 InTechnology hosted IP Voice Connect Switch Hosted within InTechnology's world class data centres and replicated three times for total resilience the IP Voice Connect TM switch controls all aspects of the service including call routing, features sets and user administration. Because the switch is hosted centrally all features are accessible to everyone connected to the network with no user site PBX equipment or skills required. 2 IP Phone Connect Once a user account, with the appropriate feature package, has been set up on the IP Voice Connect TM switch, IP phones can be connected directly to the LAN and configured via the users web browser. Ideal for small sites and remote users or new / upgrading sites where a PBX is not cost effective. 2a Home worker support Home worker employees can now be fully connected to the rest of the company. With an IP phone they can short code dial their colleagues. Internal calls to other office or home workers are free and users can also access and other network resources - all over a private broadband connection. 3 IP Gateway Connect Keep your existing PBX but enable IP Voice Connect TM services by installing our IP Gateway Connect device. 5 IP Voice Connect TM : tackling real business telecommunication issues Issues Each of my PBXs serves only a single site. I need one per site and there is inconsistency between them. This situation: - Reduces my feature set to those common to ALL systems - Impedes flexibility - Doesn't scale - Is expensive In order to support my PBXs, I need some very specific skill sets. These are very difficult to deliver in-house and I have to outsource even the simplest actions, such as moving an extension from one desk to another. I spend a lot of money on calls between my sites. For my larger sites, I have invested in a fixed line but this only resolves the issue between these two sites, is expensive and offers no solution to small sites or home workers.
