4 Speakers Peter Wearmouth, Director, Capita Symonds Peter held as number of executive positions in the NHS including the post of Chief Executive of NHS Estates. During his career Peter has led a number of national initiatives designed to enhance patient safety and creating better environments for staff and patients. More recently Peter joined the Health division of Capita Symonds, where he has worked on developing best practice with a number of Trusts around estate efficiency and utilisation, saving 15% on estates costs through innovation and utilising the estate to best value. Peter will be sharing best practice and sharing examples of these projects. Rob Harrison, Partner, Bevan Brittan For over 10 years Rob has specialised in complex property-based public private partnerships, with a particular emphasis in Health PPP schemes such as NHS LIFT and Health Local Asset Backed Vehicles (LABVs), having a significant national profile in this area of work. Rob is particularly interested in novel or innovative structures, for which he has advised both the public and private sectors including the Welsh Assembly Government and the governmental organisation, Community Health Partnerships. He has been involved in 22 Local Improvement Finance Trust schemes focussing on leading teams acting for private sector parties and lenders (Aviva) in such schemes. Rob has a particular focus on Health LABVs and has involvement in all three Health LABVs currently at various different stages of procurement. Rob has acted for the Northern Ireland Assembly setting up a framework to deliver new healthcare facilities in Northern Ireland. Mike Gallagher, General Manager, Healthcare Partnership Solutions Mike trained as a Chartered Surveyor / Chartered Builder and for over 20 years was Director of Estates and Facilities at a large NHS Acute Trust in the North West. He holds a PhD and MSc in management and during the course of his studies he undertook research in the United States and Hong Kong to investigate different management processes. A Trust Board member for over 20 years Mike was responsible for developing clinical services, in addition to taking a lead role in developing the Trust's strategic direction. He was also the Project Director for all major capital developments which included compiling business cases and managing developments from inception to completion. During his career in the NHS he has been involved in a number of national and regional working parties and has contributed to a number of publications for the NHS and professional bodies.

5 Nigel Fenny, Director, Healthcare Partnership Solutions Nigel is a specialist in estates management and has spent over 25 years working in the NHS. In additions to having worked as a Director of Estates and Facilities, Nigel has also worked as a Director of Operations and Deputy Chief Executive of Mental Health Services for Leeds Community and Mental Health Services Trust, with responsibility for leading the strategic review and moderisation of Mental Health Services. Nigel took a lead role in modernising the delivery of Mental Health Services and ensured that the services delivered met client need. He was then appointed as Chief Executive of Community Ventures, a company specialising in financing and providing health care facilities. Under his leadership the company has delivered nine new healthcare facilities costing in excess of 53m. Nigel now holds a Director post at Healthcare Partnership Solutions, a unique company including Miller Construction, Community Ventures Management Ltd and Guildhouse UK. Nigel works closely with NHS Trusts to deliver innovative and sustainable facilities solutions that reflect patient needs. Neil Taylor, Capita Health Neil has 21 years' experience within the NHS, 11 of these as an NHS Hospitals Trust Chief Executive. Subsequently, Neil has spent the last five years within the private sector, working for a number of FTSE 100 companies, on strategic development of businesses in healthcare.
