1 Julian - Health, PE, This passionate and motivated teacher has the skills and ability to teach his subjects to both primary and secondary age groups. His most recent teaching experience was at a challenging, multicultural, government school in Melbourne. This allowed Julian to gain experience across a range of age groups and with a variety of students from differing backgrounds. He has experience in working with special needs students, including those with ADHD, Aspergers and a student who was wheelchair bound. Alongside his classroom teaching he was the Outdoor Education Coordinator and heavily involved himself in the extra-curricular activities offered. Julian arrived in the UK in April 2011 and has already secured a regular two days a week PPA role in a London primary school and is a hit with our schools already! Jessica English, History Jessica is a warm and passionate secondary teacher with an ability to teach English and history to A Level. With over two years experience Jessica shows strength in her ability to build working relationships with students creating a safe and trusting forum for learning. In her last school, Jessica undertook many roles and responsibilities including English leader as well as being a member of the inquiry planning. She was also the dedicated ESL teacher working at GCSE and A Level. With consistency and her open and honest nature, Jessica has been able to attain good behaviour management strategies. She ensures that she sets expectations at the start of lessons and ensures that communication is involved throughout classes. Jessica is an excellent teacher who will always go above and beyond what is expected of her. John Health, PE John is an experienced physical and health education teacher from Brisbane, Australia. John graduated in 2007 and secured his first role at Wavell State High School which is a large and well respected government school in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. He worked there until the end of 2010 before travelling to Hong Kong to work as a development officer and rugby player for the Hong Kong Football Club. John is now moving to the UK to seek employment in London as a contract or daily supply teacher and willing to teach most secondary or primary age groups.

2 Kaela English Kaela is an ambitious and hard-working English teacher who is also happy to teach KS1 or KS2 on a supply or long term basis. She is currently working as a supply teacher and has taught in a range of schools across the whole of London. She quotes her strengths as having strong behaviour management skills, using a variety of strategies to ensure pupils are engaged in her lessons. Kaela has also worked in summer camps on a voluntary basis where she worked with aboriginal students and organised a variety of games and activities. Passionate about sports, she enjoys playing hockey and volleyball and thoroughly enjoys reading. She would be happy to take part in any extra-curricular clubs and is a very dedicated and hard-working teacher. Kaela is exceptionally organised, energetic and would be an asset to any school. Devin - A Level ICT & Business Studies, KS3 Mathematics With two years industry experience prior to completing his teaching degree, this dedicated teacher is relocating to the UK in September 2011 on a Youth Mobility Visa. Devin has the skills and ability to teach ICT and business studies to the highest level and mathematics from Year Both of his university placements were at small, coeducational, government schools in Ontario, Canada, where he thoroughly involved himself in the extra-curricular activities offered. Prior to completing his Bachelor of Education, Devin worked as the Policy and Communications Coordinator within the Chamber of Commerce. This allows him to create relevant and engaging lessons for his students. Noelia - A Level Spanish & French Having gained UK Qualified Teachers Status in March, 2010, this highly qualified teacher has the skills and ability to teach Spanish and French to the highest level. Noelia is currently teaching at a small, regional school in the USA, where she teaches across all of the secondary age groups. She is relocating to the UK in September 2011 on an EU Passport and is seeking a long term position in the London or Home County regions. With a Masters degree in Translation and Interpreting as well as her teaching degree, she has excellent subject knowledge and provides relevant and engaging lessons for her students. Noelia will be a valuable addition to any school ands he is looking forward sharing her enthusiasm for teaching in the UK.

3 Michelle - Ancient History, Geography, Society & Culture This newly qualified teacher successfully completed her practicum teaching ancient and modern history. Her supervisor commented, She was always well prepared; with her colleagues she was professional, she took advice and acted on it. In addition to history she is qualified to teach society and culture, as well as geography. During her practicum she was responsible for creating her own programmes and resources, which she happily shared with colleagues. She has taught special needs students and can confidently differentiate the curriculum to suit individual abilities. Michelle uses Smartboard technology and other ICT resources to complement her teaching. With a background in administrative work she is well organised and prepared. Michelle is friendly and approachable. She is also a classically trained musician and has actively taken part in extra-curricular activities. Hollie - History, Environmental Education Hollie is a strong classroom practitioner with three years teaching experience and a strong sense of empathy for her students. She has an extremely positive, bubbly personality and creates a caring environment where learning can take place; she pulls out all the stoppers to make her subject come alive! Her students are totally engaged in her programmes and they work hard to do well. Hollie involves herself in all aspects of school life, being the lead coach and manager of debating, netball, and organiser of outdoor camps. Her instructions are clear, her knowledge up-to-date, and her planning meticulous. Hollie is very competent with computer programmes to assist in her specialist area. Duncan - A Level Geography, Humanities This affable teacher has the skills and ability to teach geography to A level and humanities to middle years. He is currently teaching at a selective, all boys school in Sydney, where he also completed his final university placement. Duncan is an accomplished professional who is motivated and passionate about teaching. He believes in building a good rapport with students, ensuring high standards of classroom management and creating a learning environment which caters for the diverse learning styles of each and every student. 4 Brent - Health and Physical Education, Junior Science Graduating with a dual degree in Education and Sports and Exercise Science in 2007, Brent secured a position in a government school in a semi-rural town, west of Cairns in Queensland. For the past three years, Brent has been teaching health and physical education up to A level and science to KS3. A qualified coach of touch football, rugby league and cricket, he is also the Year 11 and 12 health and physical education subject coordinator and the sports master, responsible for all school and inter-school competitive fixtures. Brent is now in the UK and keen to tackle the National Curriculum and broaden his teaching experiences. Samantha - Physical Education and Health Samantha is a confident and energetic PE and health teacher who is able to teach nursery - A level. She has taught pupils with SEN, including autism and aspergers at a SEN school where she taught PE to children aged 2-20 years old. She has also taught at a private international school where she worked with students who have EAL and ensured that she catered her lessons for all abilities. Samantha is clearly passionate about sports and particularly enjoys playing netball, football and hockey although is highly knowledgeable in most other sports. She has recently been teaching at an independent grammar school where she has received excellent references. Samantha plans her lessons to cater for the individual needs of all students. Samantha is looking for a long term role and would be a fantastic teacher in any school. Jennie - Science, Biology, Physical Education Jennie is an exemplary teacher from New Zealand with over four years experience. She has taught at two schools, both quite challenging environments, where she has taken leadership in a pastoral care role. Jennie has a real passion for science and her curriculum knowledge is thorough, her teaching detailed and her assessment reflective. Her student s results in national exams have far exceeded expectations. Jennie is also a keen sportsperson and has given much time to coach soccer and cricket, and her love of singing has seen her assist with the vocals in the school choir and bands. Her strength in ICT is evident in the many resources she has developed for class programmes and she is confident with interactive whiteboards. Elizabeth is currently teaching at a coeducational, government school in Sydney, Australia, where alongside her classroom teaching she has also taken on the roles of acting assistant principal, performing arts coordinator and most recently she has become the graduate mentor teacher. Erin is currently teaching at an all girls Catholic school in Melbourne, and prior to this she was at a high achieving, coeducational, Catholic school, where alongside her classroom teaching she was the VCAL and psychology coordinator. Erin is confident and impressive at interview and her strong academic background would be highly sought by the independent and international school sectors. She is clearly a dedicated and passionate teacher, who is available for immediate telephone interview prior to arrival. Bryn - Art, Design, Media, ICT Bryn is a dedicated and creative New Zealand trained teacher who comes highly recommended. He is currently teaching art, design and ICT at a secondary school in Aylesbury and is seeking a position from September when his current contract expires. Referees describe him as a talented and consistently high achieving teacher. His knowledge in the field of technology, 3D animation and webpage design has been a valuable resource for his school s new website and his keen interest in sport sees him coaching student rugby and cricket teams.

6 Ben - Physical Education, Health Education Ben is an enthusiastic and professional secondary PE teacher with six months experience. He has a British passport and is looking to secure a position here in the UK to continue his career. Ben comes highly recommended by his referees, one who comments Ben has demonstrated excellent teaching skills and professionalism. His quick thinking nature, strong presence and ability to relate to and inspire children have made his classroom an extremely successful environment. Prior to training as a teacher Ben worked in Sydney s Toronga Zoo as a keeper; he still has a love for animals and biology and would be comfortable teaching general science at KS3 and KS4. Niki Food Technology With 16 years experience teaching food technology in the UK and Australia, Niki has reached a stage in her career where she is focussed on a change and has since relocated to London. She tested the waters and taught in the UK in 2008 familiarising herself with the curriculum and differences in assessment between London and Australia. She has enjoyed acting head of the department along with working in the classroom. Food is her main subject area but she is equally familiar with textiles in KS3/4. Her Australian school invested in a professional kitchen and dining area so students presented their culinary skills for parents and friends as apart of their final assessment. Niki thrives in the classroom and is ready to commit to a permanent position in the UK. Andrew - Physical Education, Health and General Science Andy is a top quality PE teacher and a great person, all staff and students loved working with him. We will be sad to see him go. He has a fantastic attitude and excellent subject knowledge; I have been really impressed with him and appreciate the superb contribution he has made to my PE department. His current head of department in Slough made these comments in a recent reference. Andy has nearly four years experience teaching PE and health up to AS Level and has also taught general science up to KS4. He has extensive experience coaching sporting teams such as rugby, touch football, cricket, golf and netball. In New Zealand, Andrew had a number of roles and responsibilities including Course Director of Year 10 PE and Year 12 Recreation. He was heavily involved in extracurricular activities and his head teacher commented that he puts in very long hours for the school. She tackles all challenges head-on and works tirelessly to ensure an outstanding result. Her leadership and heavy involvement in college productions have resulted in magnificent musical success and she has been applauded by her HOD and the head teacher. She is capable, confident and supportive of others. Referees have attested to her dedication and skill in teaching; "She has a true gift for teaching and is a truly valued colleague and educator. Paul - History, Geography, Politics Paul is an Australian trained, hardworking and enthusiastic secondary teacher who enjoys learning new skills and working in a team environment. He previously taught A Level history and geography at an all girls' Catholic school in London and more recently has been a PPA teacher in two inner London primary schools where he delivers specialist history and geography lessons. Paul is also highly knowledgeable in the subject areas of politics and RE. Ruth Textiles and Food Technology Ruth is a skilled and very hands-on textiles and food technology teacher from Sydney, Australia. Ruth completed her Bachelor of Teaching majoring in Textiles and Design with a minor in Food Technology in Ruth has worked in three schools since graduating completing short term contracts at each. She has always planned on travelling therefore securing permanent work has not been her priority. She is currently teaching food technology, textiles and design at one of the largest high schools in the Shell harbour region. Ruth is travelling to the UK with her husband in August 2011 and will be open to contracts in the London and surrounding areas.

8 Judy - Mathematics Judy is an experienced teacher from Australia who has taught in both her home country and in New Zealand. Her depth of understanding in her specialist areas has been noted by referees as strong and her hands on approach ensures students gain a deeper understanding of the subject. She thrives on the academic achievement of her students and works hard to use the collaborative method approach to ensure maths is real and meaningful to the students. She will spend time outside the classroom providing extra-curricular activities and uses this time to understand her students. Her classroom management is solid and she seeks opportunities to expose students to meaningful learning opportunities so they become well informed individuals. Stuart PE, Science, Mathematics Stuart is a secondary trained teacher from Brisbane, Australia. Stuart initially obtained a Bachelor of Science before completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. He started teaching in his early twenties and attributes his age to building rapport with his students. As a PE teacher he involves himself in many extra-curricula activities and enjoys working in diverse and multicultural settings. Nikita Home Economics, Health, DT Nikita is a personable and professional teacher with one years' experience working at an all girls Catholic school. She taught home economics, religious studies and hospitality at A Level. She has since been teaching at a challenging school on a contract basis for one term. In addition to an education degree, she holds a certificate in workplace and training and taught vocational level in home economics and hospitality. Nikita enjoys bringing her classroom to life, simulating a restaurant in the classroom as well as effectively integrating technology. Nikita is a down-to-earth teacher who is enthusiastic and organised with excellent references. Passionate about sports, particularly netball and hockey, she also enjoys cooking and sewing and would be happy to take part in any extracurricular activities. She is looking for a long term contract from September 2011.

9 Charlie PE and Health Education Charlie is an Australian-trained secondary teacher who is arriving to work in the UK from May Currently, he is working at a youth detention facility in Brisbane teaching physical education, health and basic numeracy and literacy to young offenders. His experience working within the EBD sector has equipped him with a range of strategies to engage and motivate disengaged students into learning. He has strengths in classroom management that belies his years. He creates a safe and supportive environment for students and this combined with a warm and cheerful sense of humour, making him a great asset in any school. Charlie is a well-educated, polite and respectful teacher who is a great role model for young people. Jess - English, Classical Studies, Religious Education Jess is an impressive teacher from New Zealand with four years' experience in highly regarded secondary schools. She is a teacher who values professionalism and is well organised and adaptable. She brings energy and enthusiasm to the classroom as she has obvious knowledge and passion for the subjects she teaches. Jess is approachable with exemplary interpersonal skills which have seen her take on senior roles in pastoral care. She works productively in all she does and is always willing to get involved in extra-curricular activities. Her referees applaud her ability and her responsibility; her recent head teacher noted she is a master teacher, incredible for one so early on in her career, a gift to be treasured. Eleanor Science Eleanor is a professional Australian trained science teacher with three years experience. She is qualified to teach Biology at A Level, as well as general science, mathematics, and chemistry. She taught in Australia at one school in a mixed area of Brisbane for over two years. She taught individually in addition within a team of 10 in her department, solely being responsible for biology. The school had many children with a fairly disinterested attitude, and when asked how she kept them engaged, she listed excellent strategies and teaching methods used to combat tedium. In her most recent role, Eleanor spent a term working as an education officer visiting schools. She would demonstrate, set up activities, and supervise group learning in sessions. Eleanor utilised her stern behaviour management skills in order to maintain a healthy learning environment. Eleanor is enthusiastic yet calm, and is instantly likeable. 10 Rachael - Chemistry, Science, English, Drama Rachael is a very strong teacher who moves to the UK with five years teaching experience from New Zealand. She has been a Dean and her pastoral care supports her empathy and leadership skills. Her curriculum knowledge is solid and she plans and scaffolds diligently for her students' learning. She is a very hands on teacher and her referees attest to her approach in science remarking that 'her students have fun while learning and they retain this knowledge because of it. This was most obvious in her students recent exam results. Rachael is also keen on sports and theatre and gives much of her spare time supporting school productions, leading the Duke of Edinburgh Award, and coaching hockey. Andrew - Maths and Physical Education Andrew has six years of teaching experience, four from New Zealand and two in the UK. He is looking for sponsorship to enable him to return to the UK and settle into a school where he can continue to offer his skills in both maths and physical education and offer the extra-curricular activities he gives with such enthusiasm. He is confident and able and has a strong understanding of the curriculum, which is evident in his delivery. Referees endorse his competence and his easy manner in the staffroom. Flexible, yet confident in his own teaching abilities, referees note his effective classroom management skills and willingness to immerse himself fully in all aspects of school life as a great quality. His current head of department has commented Andrew is an excellent teacher. He has a good rapport with kids and good behaviour management skills. He also commented that he is well organised, punctual and reliable. Nicole Science, Mathematics Nicole is a Canadian-trained physics, science and mathematics teacher who is looking for a long-term teaching post in London to start September She has four years classroom experience teaching A Level students to the highest academic standard. She is fluent in French and currently teaches bilingual classes in a coeducational secondary school in Manitoba. Completing her Masters in Education in 2011, she is confident and impressive at interview and her strong academic background would be highly sought after by the independent and international school sectors. Nicole is clearly a dedicated and passionate teacher.

11 Ibrahim - Mathematics, ICT, Physics Ibrahim is a newly qualified UK trained teacher who has been working on a supply basis in London secondary schools since September Prior to embarking on a teaching degree, Ibrahim has industry experience working in computer production and as a research and test engineer for space and defence systems. Currently living in north London, Ibrahim is keen to secure a long term teaching post and is available for an immediate interview. Lori English, Biology Lori is a Canadian-trained teacher of secondary English and biology. She is travelling to the UK in September 2011 on a Youth Mobility Visa and is looking for long-term work either in central or greater London. Having completed an Education Assistant Diploma, she has worked with a diverse range of SEN students supporting individual needs including Autism, behavioral and emotional difficulties. Currently completing her teacher training in a co-educational government school in Ontario, Lori is trained to utilise technology widely in her classes. She comes across as a confident and personable young teacher, very eager to develop her career internationally. Merin - Religious Education This primary and intermediate trained teacher from Canada is well presented, articulate and committed to putting in the extra hours to provide meaningful lessons for her classes. Merin has recently graduated, having completed teaching placements covering kindergarten to Year 8 in two diverse and school settings. Her intermediate teaching subject is religious education where her subject knowledge is excellent having completed a Bachelor of Arts in this area. Strongly supported by her referees some comments include Merin is a natural and her hard work and dedication is like nothing I have ever seen from a student teacher. Her understating of good practitioning and her passion to educate makes her an amazing teacher and I truly believe that any school would be incredibly lucky to have her! She is resourceful, patient, technology savvy, professional and well respected by staff and students. She is looking to secure a long term post ideally as an RE teacher in the London area.

12 Nicola - Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics Nicola is a UK trained physics specialist who graduated in She immediately secured a maternity cover post teaching at a large secondary school in north Somerset completing one term of her NQT induction. After this ended in March 2011 she has been working on a supply basis in the Bristol area. Nicola has a wide range of additional interests and would be able to contribute greatly to extra-curricular programmes with skills such as games, dance and martial arts. Nicola is able to relocate from the South West to secure a long term or permanent teaching post and is keen to work in a school where she can contribute to the all round education of the students. Amy - Business Studies and ICT Teacher Amy is a qualified middle and secondary school teacher from Australia. Amy graduated in 2008 and secured a job immediately at Benowa High School in Queensland, Australia. She taught business studies and studies of society and environment up to A level. She also teaches information technology to KS4 and is very aware of integrating technologies into her lessons and delivery. Benowa High School is a multicultural and average academic school with some challenging behaviour and social difficulties. Amy is well supported in her departments and finds that all staff members are extremely collegial with each other. On arriving in the UK in September 2010, Amy commenced supply teaching in the Blackpool area to be close to her family and is now seeking a long term role in London. Rebecca - German, French, Russian Rebecca is a UK trained language teacher with 12 years' teaching experience. She teaches German to A level and French to GCSE level. Rebecca is also able to teach Russian at junior level and has also taught GCSE religious education. During her career Rebecca has held leadership roles, namely ICT co-ordinator for the language department and head of languages. In addition to her teaching qualifications Rebecca also holds a TEFL certificate and has completed a journalism course. Currently living in south London Rebecca is looking for a new post to start in September 2011.

13 Stella - Head of Creative and Performing Arts With 19 years experience teaching, Stella is an outstanding trained teacher with strong leadership skills. She has taught in London for eight years and has successfully developed her career in this time. Currently head of drama at a large secondary school in East London, Stella also runs the student buzz which is a motivational course designed to inspire all pupils into fulfilling their potential. She has worked in some challenging environments and in her last school she was promoted from head of drama to head of creative and performing arts. In this new position, Stella managed the faculty which encompassed visual arts, drama and dance. An extremely accomplished behaviour manager, she uses a variety of positive reinforcement techniques with great success. She thrives on having the opportunity to successfully improve behaviour within schools and leads her team by example. One referee states she has excellent control and is able to manage challenging individuals and groups. She sets high expectations. Ofsted graded her lesson as outstanding in the school s November 2008 inspection. Paul - Chemistry, Physics, General Science Paul is a UK trained chemistry specialist with 34 years teaching experience in both the UK and overseas. Paul s experience teaching in international school has given the opportunity to become fully conversant with the UK National Curriculum in addition to the IB and IGCSE systems. He has held positions of responsibility including head of chemistry at several schools. In addition to his teaching expertise, Paul also likes to be involved with extra-curricular activities namely sports and drama. He comes with excellent references, one stating He rates amongst the best teachers that I have worked alongside. Our loss will be some fortunate school s gain. Paul is moving back to the UK at the end of this school year and looking for a teaching post starting September 2011.

14 Holly - Performing Arts, Dance and Drama Specialist With three years' teaching experience as a performing arts specialist, Holly is keen to move back to her home country to pursue her career and gain experience in another curriculum. She is well regarded in New Zealand and has also taken specialist dance and drama clubs outside her main role of teaching. Holly has a warm and confident manner and is very approachable. A very well organised person in both her life and her work habits she is able to produce quality units of work which have been given thorough planning and activities to support their learning intentions. She easily engages her pupils as she chooses themes and content well to engage students from the start. She makes learning fun and real. Holly has had experience teaching in a challenging environment, as well as with the highly motivated learner. She is comfortable in all settings. Her strength in ICT is evident in the many resources she has developed for class programmes and she is confident with most forms of technology, which she uses often in her programmes. Skye - A Level Dance, Ancient & Modern History This versatile newly qualified Australian trained teacher can teach ancient history, modern history and dance to the highest level. She has a passion for all of her subjects and ensures she is flexible in her approach. Skye integrates ICT into her lessons whilst maintaining a healthy amount of student and teacher interaction. 15 Ian - Drama, English Ian, a drama and English teacher hails from Australia, where he has been teaching for the last four years at a coeducational government school located in Brisbane s inner-city. With the ability to teach his specialty areas to A Level, Ian also has experience acting as head of performing arts. A keen dramatist and actor outside of the classroom, Ian has passion for performance and brings this enthusiasm into his classroom. One referees cites Ian will be an asset to anyone he works for. Nadia English, Humanities Nadia's education studies have focused on English, history, health and philosophy and she completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education in Australia at the end of Nadia has completed three years in very diverse learning environments and has thus proved her flexibility and versatility as an educator. Her main goal is to motivate students through inquiry based learning practices, stimulating them to do their best whilst extending their own personal limits. Nadia has experience with working with disadvantaged children and she is passionate about ensuring that every child gains the most from their education and their school. Nadia relocated to the UK in March 2010 and has been teaching history and English at KS2 level at an independent school. Sue Mathematics Sue Wilson is a qualified mathematics teacher from Australia. She is currently teaching A Level students at an all girls government school in Sydney.
