4 Welcome FOUR COLLEGES: A UNIFIED AND HOLISTIC APPROACH THINK Health offers a holistic approach to health education. We have brought together four leading health colleges to form one of Australia s most comprehensive and most valued health and wellbeing faculties. By joining together these institutions, we are able to capitalise on the existing knowledge of our expert staff to fully realise the potential of the education we can provide to our students. Our connection with the industry provides our students with an understanding of what will be expected of them as professionals. This, combined with their experience at the THINK Wellbeing Centres, allows graduates to seamlessly enter professional practice upon graduation. Our four colleges work together in order to provide the best health education in Australia. We will continue to maintain our high standard and continue to extend the reach of our studies through new campuses, modern facilities and a strong connection with the wider health industry. Many of our colleges were initially started by practicing professionals who saw a need to give back to the community by imparting their knowledge to eager students. Our colleges have grown with this mentality; allowing practicing professionals to teach their skills and experiences learned first-hand from working in the industry. Covering physical, mental and aesthetical health and wellbeing, the health faculty aims to provide it s students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their chosen field. We also understand the importance of practical skills in today s job market, so we provide opportunity for students to engage in practical training and workplace experience before graduating. This includes working in one of our three THINK Wellbeing Centres, where students gain practical experience, providing services to the public under the watchful eye of qualified professionals. We maintain strong connections with the wider health industry, through acknowledgement of industry accreditation bodies. Our industry partners know the standard of our students and routinely look to employ our graduates. Kathleen Curry Dean, Health Faculty 04

It does this through the Education Services for International Students legislative framework. This protects Australia s reputation for delivering quality education services and the interests of international students, by setting minimum standards and providing tuition and financial assurance. The legislation mandates a nationally consistent approach to registering education providers so that the quality of the tuition, and care of students, remains high. The professionalism and integrity of the industry is further strengthened by the ESOS legislation s interface with immigration law. This imposes visa related reporting requirements on both students and providers. 023
