1 Ahrensburg, May 29, 2015 New System Software and Custom Apps: escan A150 - standalone network document scanner from Plustek with Android operating system escan A150 equipped with new and improved system software V1.1.1 with two additional escan Custom Apps, Save2Share v and Save2FTP V can also be installed to enhance the functionality. The escan A150, awarded with the "Taiwan Excellence Award 2015" was the focus of the Plustek booth at this year's CeBIT. Also briefed about this innovation and the core business of Plustek, was a particularly prominent guest of the Plustek booth: Dr. Frank Nägele, State Secretary, Ministry of Economy, Labour, Transport, and Technology in Schleswig -Holstein. The scanner specialists, Plustek, have worked intensively on both the new system software V1.1.1 and the two different Custom Apps, Save2Share v and Save2FTP V These all serve to extend the idea behind the new escan product concept by providing additional scan functions hence to meet an increasing customer interest. The new system software and the Custom Apps have been released as a complementary download since mid-may and can be found on the Plustek escan micro-site at The new system software not only includes significant improvements, but also necessary for allowing the Custom Apps to be installed and excuted on the escan. The 'Save2Share (SMB)' Custom App allows users to save scanned images and files to a designated folder under the same network. Either is on a PC, NAS (Network Attached Storage), or other networking devices. The 'Save2FTP' Custom App also provides users the ability to save scanned images and files to a designated folder by using S/FTP (File Transfer Protoco l).
