1 INTRODUCTION Before you starting reading about the Stars of David presented on these homepages first let me define what a Star of David is and what type of Stars I have studied. There is some confusion in this matter. Though it is true that there is essentially only one geometric formation called the Star of David, what goes into the star or forms the star, whether planets, Arabian Parts, asteroids, or any other astrological or astronomical points has a great effect on the interpretations for that Star of David, the impact it will have, and who or what will be impacted. There are many different combinations and there are no simple answers since the appearance of the Stars and their interpretations are fairly recent. Astrologers are still learning about their significance and I include myself in that learning process. WHAT IS A STAR OF DAVID? A Star of David is a geometric configuration that has 6 equidistant points within a 360 degree radius or two interlocking triangles, one facing up and the other facing down. It looks exactly like the Jewish Star many would recognize and it is historically linked to King David who actually had a Star of David in his natal astrological chart formed by the planets. This was amazing since there were only 7 known planets at the time, 6 of which had to be in the correct position. The commonly called Star of David is not limited to the Jewish faith and the Kabbalah however, as it also appears is the Buddhist, Theosophical, and various other Eastern and Western traditions. It is fair to say that it is a symbol of integration (linking heaven and earth, as above, so below) and spirituality. When a Star of David occurs, you cannot see the Star in the night sky because the 6 points surround the earth 360 degrees around. This means that half of the planets are below the horizon. Also some of the planets in our solar system are not visible with the human eye. TYPES OF STARS Planetary Stars - In the Stars that I have studied since 1990, the two interlocking triangles are formed solely by the planets in our solar system along with the Sun and the Moon. These planetary Stars of David I have written about extensively in these pages, and I believe planetary Stars have global impact. For example, since 1990, three stars have been war stars - the one in 1990 that appeared directly after Iraq invaded Kuwait signaling the Gulf War, the 2001 Star occurred seven days before the destruction of the World Trade Center Twin Towers that led to the War in Afghanistan, and the November 2002 Star preceded the War in Iraq four months later. All of these Stars had difficult squares to the Sun. In 1990, Mars squared the Sun, in 2001 both Saturn and Pluto squared the Sun, and in 2002 Uranus squared the Sun. Planetary Stars have global impact and many times the effect of the Star, like a solar eclipse will last from one Star to the next. Personal or local Stars - There are times when five planets almost form a Star, but one point is missing. In these situations an individual can use a specific time set for his or her locality to form the Star of David with the Ascendant, the Midheaven, or Part of Fortune creating the final point. I have worked with these charts and my feeling is that they impact the individual who is electing the time and they are good for personal and spiritual development. They do not have global impact as they are locality based and individually created. I do not write about those personal or local starts in these pages. I focus only on planetary Stars. Planetary/asteroid Stars - Sometimes a Star of David is formed by five planets and an asteroid, most notably Chiron. This is a hybrid Star. It is not totally planetary, but also not locality based or individually oriented. It does not have global impact in my opinion, but it does have significance, especially for those who have natal connections to the Star.

2 AUGUST 8,1990 STAR This is the first transiting Star of David that I was aware of. I think that each of the Stars of David that appears in the sky tell us something about the human experience and spiritual journey as it is occurring on the planet, both individually and connectively. It is interesting to note what happens during the time periods of each of the Stars. On August 2, 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait and many countries rallied together, considering the invasion an injustice. The Gulf War began. The 1990 Star was a War Star as noted by the Mars in Taurus tightly square to the Sun in Leo. Both are part of a T-square with Pluto in Scorpio. This Star of David was a earth-water Star and called for material manifestation (earth signs) and cleansing (water signs). Iraq invaded Kuwait over an oil dispute and slant drilling. Water and earth create mud as we know. But besides being dirty, mud can be dried to create bricks, a building material. The Berlin Wall was coming down during this time and the reunification of East and West Germany occurred on October 3, The Soviet Union was collapsing, civil war was beginning to break out in Yugoslavia, and the marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles was failing.

3 JULY 18-19, 1992 STAR This Star was also an earth-water Star. The process of manifestation and cleansing continues. One of the notable aspects of this chart is that Venus is unaspected. Venus was highly aspected in the first Star of David indicating the importance of relationships in the sensitization and integration process. This switch in the prominence of Venus seemed to indicate that something was wrong in the way we relate to one another. Cleansing continues and unsupportive relationships fall away. Prince Charles and Princess Diana separated in Amy Fischer shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco. Mary Jo stood by her husband Joey though few could understand why. Mike Tyson is convicted of rape. Lorena Bobbitt cuts off her husband's penis. President Clinton was running for office in 1992 and his fidelity to his wife Hillary was a topic on the campaign trail. Venus unaspected is also linked to finances and the country was in a recession at this time. There was a movement to leave high paying jobs to follow a spiritual path or a more fulfilling career. A major characteristic of this chart is the t-square in fixed signs with Saturn, Mars and Mercury. This indicates difficulties in communication. Anger spoke louder than words. The standoff in Waco, Texas, the fire that ensued, and resulting deaths of many occurred in April President Clinton came into office early in 1993 and he and Hillary tried to create a national health plan. There was a lot of backlash to "President Hillary's plan" and it never went through. She was silenced.

4 JULY STAR This Star of David was not totally an earth-water Star. Mars in an air sign. Starting here and looking into the future, Stars of David move more and more towards fire and air. The acceleration of learning was beginning, (fire and air elements burn and move much faster than earth and water), and further stages of the cleansing and manifestation processes were occurring. This chart is a very simple and concentrated one. The t-squares of the 1990 and 1992 charts are gone and the majority of the planets are in the Star of David configuration. Jupiter is the notable exception. It hangs outside the Star pattern. Jupiter rules justice. Nationally and globally individuals acted outside of what it just. Prime Minister Rabin was assassinated. Deadly gas was released in a Japanese subway. Susan Smith was convicted of killing her children. Terrorist McVey bombed the federal building in Oklahoma City. The Unabomber was finally captured. And justice was blind when O. J. Simpson was found not guilty. Mars is in zero degrees having just refranated from the sign of Virgo into Libra. Mars is in detriment in Libra and this seemed to indicate that as a people and a world community, we would no longer tolerate war. It was interesting to note that only a month or two after this Star of David, Bosnia, Northern Ireland and the Middle East moved to negotiation and began the peace process. The first benefit concert to free Tibet took place.

5 SEPTEMBER 3, 1996 STAR The chart shows the planetary positions on or about September 2-4, Variations in the date occurred because of different time zones and locations on the planet. In it, we can see the presence of two interlocking triangles forming the Star of David. The Moon is in Taurus, but the Star was still in effect when the Moon was in early degrees of Gemini, highlighting the switch from earth-water to air-fire. This is the first of the four stars presented to include all four of the elements, (fire, earth, air and water), in harmonious relationship. Differences in harmony is a theme of this short lived Star, the 1996 Twin Star occurring one month later. It is interesting that the September star was flanked by two hurricanes on the U.S. east coast, Edouard which hit New England early on September 2, 1996 and Hurricane Fran which began to shower the east coast late on September 3rd. The time of this Star was tumultuous and in fact, the union of two opposites can be a whirlwind time. Many of us were horrified when 30 black churches burned in the South. In California, ebonics was recognized as black English despite protest. Dolly, the first cloned sheep was born in When stripped of "Her Royal Highness" title, Princess Diana went on to become a great humanitarian, fighting for the removal of land mines and champing causes important to those less fortunate. The blue triangle is formed by Neptune in late Capricorn, Uranus in early Aquarius, the Moon in late Taurus, and Mercury in early Libra. This is the earth-air triangle. In astrological terms, it is interpreted as having to do with grounding (earth) and being present in an insightful and conscious way (air). The red triangle is formed by Saturn in early Aries, Mars and Venus in late Cancer, and Pluto in early Sagittarius. This is the fire-water triangle. In astrological terms, it is interpreted as signaling our drive (fire) to master (Saturn) our emotions (water), actions (Mars), and relationships (Venus).

6 OCTOBER 1, 1996 TWIN STAR On October 1, 1996, there was a second Star of David in the sky in less than a month. This October Star of David was linked to the September one just before it. They are similar in formation and can be thought of as twin stars. The October Star shifts further into the fire-air element and there are no water planets present. The September star fully integrate all four elements into two Grand Trines, fire with water and air with earth Stars of David. In the October star, the transition to fire and air is complete with the fire Grand Trine between Saturn in Aries, Mars in Leo and Pluto in Sagittarius, and the air Grand Trine formed by the Moon in Gemini, Sun in Libra and Uranus in Aquarius. Neptune in Capricorn was not a factor. Fire and air move faster than water and earth. Communication was speeding up with the worldwide popularity of personal computers, the internet, and cellphones. Inspirational and spiritual messages influenced our perceptions. A woman in Iowa defied all odds to give birth to septuplets in We saw the hidden power of prayer (Pluto in Sagittarius) in her struggle as the members of her congregation all prayed for her. We lost two great lights in less than a week in 1997, two twins of compassion at the same time, Mother Theresa and Princess Diana. They both sought to make the world a better place. Contrition (Saturn and Sun in fall) and reparation became a spiritual theme. Programs were established to return funds, valuables, and art works to Nazi victims. President Clinton apologized to the Tuskegee Airmen who were untreated in a syphilis project.

7 JULY 1, 1998 STAR This Star was basically a fire and air Star though Jupiter was in a water sign. The fire triangle was formed by Mercury in Leo, Pluto in Sagittarius, and Jupiter in very late degree of Pisces. This Grand Trine had a lot to do with our belief system (Jupiter). Jack Kervorkian is arrested for assisted suicide, (Mars in Gemini is out of bounds by declination and square to Jupiter.) The Columbine tragedy causes us to seek ways to protect our children in schools. The Mother's March on Washington draws huge crowds seeking gun control. The air Grand Trine was formed by Neptune and Uranus in Aquarius, Venus in Gemini, and the Moon in Libra. The interpretation for this Grand Trine had a lot to do with relationships. President Clinton and zippergate involving Monica Lewinski called our attention to relationships and what they are really supposed to be about. (Pluto opposed Venus and they both squared the node while the Moon is in Libra.) Viagra went on the market. The Euro was introduced as the common currency in Europe. Mental confusion and deception occurred (Neptune opposed Mercury). President Clinton plays with words denying "sexual relations with that woman," but later had to admit to misconduct. There were three planets which are not a part of the Star of David configuration per se, but helped to form two t-squares to the other planets. These planets were Saturn, (which squares both Neptune and Mercury forming a fixed t-square), and Mars and the Sun, (which square Jupiter and the Moon respectively). There were t- squares in the 1990, 1992, and both of the 1996 Twin Stars. The only Star of David this decade without a t- square occurred in 1995.

8 SEPTEMBER 4, 2001 STAR The 2001 Star of David was a fire and air star. Earth and water were not involved. The Fire Grand Trine is formed by the Moon in Aries, Venus in Leo, and Pluto in Sagittarius. The Air Grand Trine was formed by Saturn in Gemini, Mercury in Libra, and Neptune in Aquarius. The fact that Pluto is trine to Venus showed a change in finances and wealth management. The stock market declined sharply with the Dot Com crash and some stocks never recovered. An energy crisis occurred in California with rolling blackouts. Price fixing came to light and eventually Enron collapsed. We learned of the excesses and deceptions of corporate executives as the retirement savings of millions disappeared (Neptune opposed Venus.) The big news of this Star was the attack on the World Trade Center seven days after the Star's appearance and the war in Afghanistan. This was a War Star like the August 1990 Star of David. Here the Sun was closely squared by Saturn and Pluto showing a loss of life and bodily injury. Aspects between Pluto and Saturn are commonly associated with war astrologically, but here the threat was made more dangerous with the squares to the Sun. Biological warfare was a possibility and anthrax was in our mail system. Fanatical thinking and emotional responses occurred, (the Moon opposed Mercury, both squared by Jupiter). This was a reactionary chart and not a thinking chart. Not only were we attacked, but we went to war. There were two Grand Trines and two T-squares in the Star. There were also two planets that did not belong to any of the configurations, Mars and Uranus. They were rebel planets and indicated individuals who acted outside of religious, societal, and moral dictates through aggression and surprise, (Moon and Mercury were in opposition and both squared to Jupiter.) Unfortunately, this star is only the beginning of the descent as the 2002 Star of David was also a War Star.

9 NOVEMBER 16, 2002 STAR The 2002 Star of David followed the 2001 Star and was another War Star. Here the Sun was squared closely by Uranus and widely by Jupiter. Within a few months, the USA invaded Iraq in search of weapons of mass destruction. Uranus squared Mercury and the truth was surprising, there were no weapons of mass destruction. This war was initiated on a false premise. Venus was retrograde in the chart for the first time and in detriment in Scorpio. Was this war really about resources? Oil? Were the military expenditures cost effective, making the world safer? Fraud and corruption came to light. The soldiers did not have the equipment they needed, whether adequate bullet proof vests or bomb resistant vehicles. Prisoners were abused and many civilians died. Iraq's treasures were sacked. The last few Stars indicated the redistribution of wealth specifically in regard to corporate spending and accounting fraud. Here we go global. Sending billions of dollars to a Middle Eastern country was certainly a redistribution of wealth, even if the expenditure was to rebuild a country destroyed with a "shock and awe" campaign. Meanwhile the U.S. deficit soared. Violence, (Mars) when in the heat of emotion, (opposing the Moon), came with a price. Responses were not measured. This was a self-interest Star with the Moon in Aries trine to Jupiter in Leo (big ego) and Pluto (power) in Sagittarius. It may be possible to rebuild Iraq since Mars and Venus are in mutual reception, meaning one can get back to normal, but it will take a lot of money and many years. I do not believe in war and I do not believe that we are fated, but it gives this astrologer pause to see three War Stars in the sky and three wars quickly following. Maybe we can learn not to do this in the future.

10 JUNE 24, 2007 STAR First and foremost, this was not a War Star. There was no square to the Sun. Mars, (the ruler of war), refranated from Aries, (a sign that it rules), into Taurus (a sign of detriment), before the Moon could oppose it. Refranations mean that matters can be dropped. In this case, the Iraq War fell out of favor and was seen as unfounded. Additionally, adversity and great difficulty is traditionally shown by a T-square configuration. There wasn't a T-square in this 2007 Star, the first time this had occurred since The lack of a T-square in the 1995 Star of David preceded the cease fire in Bosnia and the Middle East Peace Accord. After this Star, the Federal Courts ruled against President Bush's Enemy Combatant Policy. There was rising support for troop withdrawal, (Mercury retrograde is the ruler of reassessment, retreat, and repair) Uranus is stationary retrograde (appearing to move backwards) in this Star while in the 2002 Iraq War Star it was stationary direct (starting to move forward). The issue of war was key to the presidential election and the candidate who ran on an anti-war, troop withdrawal platform won, (Barack Obama). There was only one square in the 2007 Star of David. Uranus in Pisces squares Jupiter in Sagittarius. Fanaticism was still present, but the principles on which religion is founded and the influence of prominent religious leaders began to overshadow the more radical element. Responsible fiscal policies should have set the tone for expenditures, (Saturn was conjunct Venus.) Unfortunately, this did not happen. The housing bubble burst and the subprime mortgage melt down ensued. Corporate financial mismanagement and deceit (Venus opposing Neptune) lead to a collapse of financial institutions and recession. Personal and national debt reached a crisis as global warming became a major concern. There needs to be a national and global movement toward conservation.

11 SEPTEMBER 27, 2007 STAR This is another War Star. While I believe the former 2007 Star indicated that the Iraq War might be winding down, (see Uranus turning retrograde in the June 24, 2007 Star), this one seems to indicate that the war in Afghanistan will continue and perhaps heat up for a period of time. In all likelihood the war in Afghanistan will never be as intense as the Iraq War since the Sun, which is at the apex of a t-square with Mars and Pluto, is not so close in orb, especially to Pluto (8 degree orb). The Sun is the faster planet here, and will be pulling away and out of the t-square. There will be attempts to disengage and any troop build up will be with the intention of withdrawing as soon as possible. There is distancing in regard to this war and possibly less loss of life. The troop buildup will never match the involvement in Iraq, but still there will be much unrest in the Middle East. Benazir Bhutto returned to Pakistan shortly after this star and was later assassinated. Later fighting broke out in Gaza between Israel and Hamas resulting in civilian casualties and widespread destruction. Elections in both Pakistan and Iran appeared to be rigged and were followed by protests. Unfortunately, the next Star of David is years away, August 5, Meanwhile, the mortgage meltdown continued and worsened. Several big companies and banks either folded or were bought out. Many of the remaining banks looked for a bailout as did the US auto companies. This eventually led to a global recession (Venus in a critical degree conjunct to Saturn). Executive misconduct and excessive bonuses continued with Venus opposing Neptune. Concerns for global warming increased and the extinction of the polar bears became a possibility. Former Vice President Al Gore won the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts to bring the crisis to the everyone's attention.

12 AUGUST 5, 2011 STAR This is a very complex star, but it is not a war star. The Sun is conjunct Venus and square to the Moon and Jupiter. The malefics are not involved. This star has a water Grand Trine with Mars in Cancer, Moon in Scorpio and Neptune in late Aquarius. The earth Grand Trine includes Jupiter in Taurus, Mercury in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. The war in Afghanistan should be winding down, or the USA will simply start to withdraw. The 2012 election will be won on an anti-war platform. There will still be a lot of tension in the Middle East and other parts of the world as there is a Grand Cross between Mars in Cancer, Saturn in Libra, Pluto in Capricorn, and Uranus in Aries. Flare-ups are still possible, but an uneasy peace is more likely than war. Incidents of corruption in business and government will still be coming to light with Mars in detriment in Cancer opposing Pluto in Capricorn. Nationalism might be on the rise with Uranus in Aries. Protection of resources and global warming will be the reason with Jupiter square to Venus. Technology would have made many advances in renewable energy, but it is still not enough. More is needed, and especially the sharing of renewable energy technology. Mercury is retrograde and we will all suffer if we do not work together and share what we know.
