2 Project Information Title: Project Number: Project Type: MOVET Year: 2008 Status: Marketing Text: Summary: Description: DE/08/LLP-LdV/TOI/ Transfer of Innovation completed DE-Germany MOVET focuses on transparency and acknowledgement of competences in a European context. Competences acquired within cross border modules going to be declared, certified and credited. MOVET explores a practical approach to a system ECVET. The modules for students end with an especially designed assessment of learning outcomes. Training providers, companies, competent bodies and other protagonists of vocational education validate the acquired learning outcomes as relevant for the training profile and award credit points. A memorandum of understanding of all involved partners serves as a basis for the acknowledgement of learning outcomes. MOVET tackles the targets identified within the Copenhagen Process (amplification of the European dimension in vocational education, increased transparency, recognition of expertise, quality assurance). The principles of voluntariness, bottom-up-approach and active involvement of social partners have to be taken into account. However, there are heterogeneous conditions and procedures for certifications and accreditation of vocational skills in the member states of the European union. The two diametrical fundamentals of subsidiarity and banned harmonization govern that domain. Three VET schools (BSFT,TEC,POAM) from Germany, Denmark and Finland can draw on extensive experience from multiple mobilities. Within the framework of MOVET they analyze common learning outcomes from national curricula for mechatronics. Each school designs a module in English. It is intended for three weeks, covering the topics PLC, Hydraulics and Bus systems. All three modules are located within the competence area 7 in the VQTS-matrix. In the context of mobilites students from the European partner institutions complete the developed modules. The module courses are concluded by examinations which consist of a paper and pencil test and skills demonstration. Upon successful completion of the test, students are rewarded with a certificate. Skill sets, obtained during the module and stated in this certificate, will be recognized with regard to their content by German companies participating in the programme. It is possible to implement a temporal recognition by Danish and a formal recognition by Finish schools. Modules in the field of mechatronics were developed and started. Exchange of trainees took place. Every trainee received a certificate and different kinds of recognition took place. 3

Die Matrix leistet damit einen Beitrag zur Transparenz und Anerkennung von Lernergebnissen. Description: Im Rahmen von MOVET wurde die Competence Matrix Mechatronics aus dem Vocational Qualification Transfer System (VQTS) einer Evaluation hinsichtlich ihrer Nutzbarkeit im Rahmen transnationaler Mobilitäten zum Erwerb beruflicher Kompetnezen unterzogen. Die beteiligten Partnerschulen und Betriebe untersuchten die Matrix hinsichtlich der Deckung mit den nationalen Qualifizierungsprofilen im Ausbildungsbereich Mechatronik/Automatisierungstechnik. Die Matrix aus dem System VQTS wurde als brauchbares Instrument zur Erhöhung der Transparenz und Anerkennung von im Ausland erworbenen Lernleistungen validiert. Target group: Berufliche Schulen, Ausbildungsbetriebe, Auszubildende/Schüler Result: Die Competence Matrix Mechatronics wurde im Rahmen von MOVET validiert. Area of application: Transnationale Ausbildungseinheiten, Erhöhung der Transparenz von Lernergebnissen, Unterstützung der Anrechnung von Lernleistungen im Entsenderland.
