1 Welcome to Monash University Department of Rural & Indigenous Health ACCOMMODATION CENTRE INFORMATION The following information is provided to make you aware of Monash University Department of Rural & Indigenous Health requirements for the Students utilising this facility. 2 1. Keys On arrival you can access the accommodation via the Key Safe at the entrance to the building. Once inside the keys to your room and building will be in the door of your allocated room. Please ensure the Key Safe keys are returned IMMEDIATELY to the safe For security reasons, please ensure doors are locked at all times. On departure, all room keys are to be returned as instructed. There will be a charge of $25-00 to replace any LOST keys. Please note that the Fire Escape is not for building access and is for emergency use only. 2. Car Parking Residents of the Accommodation Centre are required to park their vehicles in the carport at the front of the building. 3. Smoking No smoking is permitted within the Accommodation Centre. 4. Telephones Not connected. Mobile phones will need to be used. 5. Kitchen Residents are required to maintain the kitchen area in a clean and tidy state. Kettles, toasters and other cooking appliances shall not be used in bedrooms as heat sensors are installed and their use will cause the fire system to activate. It should be noted that candles and sparklers on birthday cakes could also cause the sensors to activate. 6. Repairs and Maintenance Any breakages or items requiring repair are to be reported to the Office Manager MUDRIH, Tracy Minster: tracey.minster@monash.edu 7. Security It is recommended that personal belongings be kept in rooms and rooms locked at all times. Leaving personal belongings unattended in lounge areas, tutorial rooms or other public places may result in loss of property. It is also important to ensure the 2 entry doors are kept locked at all times. If you have left your key in your room there is a door bell you could ring (If other students are inside the accommodation) or you can use the key-safe pin number to collect the spare key (please return key to key safe and make sure key safe has been locked correctly) Please formularise yourself with key safe guidelines. ONLY authorised students can stay overnight at the accommodation

3 8. Insurance Personal effects of residents are not covered by the Monash University Department of Rural & Indigenous Health insurance policy. It is recommended that residents insure their own property against loss or damage. 9. Emergency Procedures Emergency Procedures are located on the back of each door. Please familiarise yourself with the codes and follow the directions in an emergency. 10. Linen No bed linen, pillows, doonas, blankets or towels will be supplied 11. Cleaning It is the responsibility of residents to keep bedrooms & bathrooms clean as they will only be cleaned by our cleaner when the room is vacated. 12. Inspection of Facilities Inspections are carried out of all facilities at the commencement and conclusion of each person's stay. Condition reports are completed and any damaged or missing property that is not appropriately accounted for will result in a former resident paying compensation to Monash University Department of Rural & Indigenous Health. 6 Directions to Monash University, Department of Rural and Indigenous Health (MUDRIH), Accommodation, 1 Ollerton Avenue, Moe Following the Princes Freeway from Melbourne, continue to drive approximately 25 minutes drive past Warragul and 13 Kilometres from Trafalgar. Take the 2nd exit to Moe/Newborough off the freeway. Turn left at the end of the off ramp, at the Stop sign at John Field Drive. Veer left just prior to the 1st set of traffic lights, continue to turn left passing the BP service station along Narracan Drive. Turn right at the next set of traffic lights Corner of Narracan Drive and Ollerton Avenue. MUDRIH Accommodation is the first building on the left hand side of the road.
