54 Tourism satellite account for South Africa Will release the next report by the end of 2016 Tourism and migration Plans to publish more information on the age structure of travellers, in particular children Future initiative of Home Affairs to measure the duration of stay for transits Have started with the publishing of accumulated information quarterly

55 Domestic tourism survey Switch to Computer Assisted Personal Interviews (CAPI) using handheld devices in January 2017 Publish an annual report based on DTS 2015 data collection in July 2016 that will provide information at metro level in addition to the current national and provincial levels Produce a technical report that will evaluate the DTS against SAT tourism survey in 2016/17 financial year. Based on the findings of the report a decision will be made as to whether the Stats SA product will replace the SAT product Produce quarterly reports from 2017 onwards that will provide headline indicators at national level
