1 Winter Session January 17-March 9, 2017 The Boys & Girls Club after School Enrichment is here! These classes are available for all Bay Laurel students even if your child is not a BGC member. Hour-long classes will run once a week starting the week of January 17, *Start dates and fees may vary depending on the specific class, no refunds or transfer after the class has begun. Bay Laurel PFA approved enrichment program. To register: Go to Registration opens December 1 st, Minimum of 10 kids to be able to run the class. No refunds or transfers after the first day of class. The Kinder Club Program will already include daily enrichment classes with no additional charge. Except the Time 2 Dance has a fee of $300 per session this class is from 12pm-1pm KINDER CLUB ENRICHMENT PROGRAM January 17 March 9 Time Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday 1:15-2:15pm Description Fee for nonclub members Sports & Games Kids will develop team skills by having fun playing different sports and outdoor obstacles courses. Performing Arts Members will discover their own talents by performing a play and participating in choir. 12-1:30pm Beginning Drawing Children will learn how to draw by using simple shapes. Time 2 dance (Not included in the Kinder Club) 12-1pm $120 $175 $200 Drawing $300 Time 2 Dance Martial Arts Lil Warriors Taught by trained Black Belt Martial Arts Instructors, your kids will learn traditional values using a modern curriculum. Uniform is required. $150 plus $40 for Uniform Club member $40 for Spanish In this class, members will learn basic words, colors, animals and more. uniform only These Kinder/Journey enrichment classes are open to non-club members (entire Bay Laurel school). For the kinder enrichment there will be NO CLASS ON, 1/30, 2/20. $200

2 1 st - 5 th GRADE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM 8 Week Session (5 weeks on Mondays) no classes on Fridays Minimum of 10 kids per class to offer it. January 17 March 9 Magic - Ever wonder how a Magician does a magic trict? This class unlocks some of the secrets to the techniques of magic. Students will gain skills in acting, comedy, and memorization that are essential to a magician s performance. They will use a variety of normal household items such as cards, coins, cups, balls, rope, and learn cool simple tricks! 1 st -5 th grade 3-4pm Day: Mondays Dates: 1/23, 2/6, 2/13, 2/27, & 3/6 $175 non-club members /$100for afternoon club members 5 week program Cupcake Décor Ever wonder how bakers create amazing cupcakes?! This class will teach you the basic skills to decorate a cupcake anyway you can imagine! Students will gain skills in fine motor skills, unlock their creative imaginations, and learn to frost a cupcake properly. They will be using everyday house hold appliances, all materials included. 1 st -5 th grade 3-4pm Day: Mondays Dates: 1/23, 2/6, 2/13, 2/27, & 3/6 $200 non-club members /$125 for afternoon club members 5 week program Chess Club-We introduce chess to students in a fun and exciting way! For all students and all levels, we teach students to play chess and help them succeed in school by stimulating their problem solving skills, analytical skills, and critical thinking. Includes exclusive booklets and worksheets. 3 Sports with Dante Boys & Girls Club Crocheting/Knitting - Learn eye hand coordination with different techniques by making yourself something nice from yarn. 1 st -5 th grade 3-4pm Day: Tuesdays Dates: 1/17, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7 JAXX Theatricals Registration go live on August 1 st, 2016 Day: Tuesdays 3:00-5:00pm Auditions February 21 th at Bay Laurel MPR Classes: 2/28 3/7, 14, 21, 28 4/4, 18, 25 5/2, 9, 16, 23 Tech: 5/30, 31, 6/1, 2*, 3* *Performances Techkidz-Programing Wizards- Create your own animations, programs and games with MIT s Scratch, Python, Sploder, and more! Computer programing helps with the brain development, math skills, and logic! 4 Lego Mindstorm Robotics This is the perfect class to give your young engineer a head start in the world of computer technology! Students will design, build, and program real robots using Lego Mindstorm Robotic kits. Planning and organizing, design, creative problem solving, and independent thinking are all put to the test in this class! 1 st -5 th grade 1:10-2:10pm Day: Wednesday Dates: 1/18, 1/25, 2/2, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8 Friendship Brigade Youth Community is proud to present Friendship Brigade an after-school enrichment program to empower our young generation with skills to navigate social situations using appropriate tools to have successful relationships with others. 1 st -5 th grade 1:10-2:10pm Day: Wednesday Dates: 1/18, 1/25, 2/2, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8 $200 non-club members /$125 for afternoon club members Runway Fashion The fashion design class is all about you! Design your own Lines of clothing, from formal gowns to casual chic! Come up with your own design for a school uniform and make an outfit for yourself using clothes from your wardrobe that you ll wear at the final runway show! 1 st -5 th grade 3-4pm Day: Wednesday Dates: 1/18, 1/25, 2/2, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8 $225 non-club members /$150 for afternoon club members

5 Martial Arts Athletes- Hyper Martial Arts Athletes Taught by trained Black Belt Martial Arts Instructors, your kids will learn traditional values using a modern curriculum. Acrobatics, Martial Arts Skill, Proven Self Defense Techniques and Life Skills Respect, Focus and Discipline. At the end of each 10 week session each child will be able to earn their next belt including a graduation ceremony held at a real Martial Arts School. Uniform is required and can be purchased through the instructor. 1 th -5 th grade 3-4pm Day: Thursdays Dates: 1/19, 1/26, 2/2, 2/9, 2/16, 2/23, 3/2, 3/9 & Additional $40 for Uniform Required Sewing This class will teach basics of sewing in a creative, encouraging and relaxing atmosphere. Children love to sew and have fun doing it. The class are self-paced. They will develop their sewing skills but create projects that are individual as they are. This class will teach them a lifetime skill while building confident with each project.
