3 PRESENTATION To talk about the Mountain Bike Club Gaerne must go back to 1988, it was after attending the first national meeting of mountain bike at Madonna di Campiglio in 1987 that a small group of friends, enthusiasts of this new sport, decided to found this team that took its name from Calzaturificio Gaerne that in those years began to produce cycling shoes now enjoyed around the world. From the first 20 members it was soon passed to the current 80, with the approach also fans of other provinces. The main goal of the Gaerne Mountain Bike Club is the promotion of the MTB through excursions, trips and meetings, but above all, to organize a competition at international level that would become a classic in the early season: GAERNE MOUNTAIN BIKE TROPHY. Thanks to the natural ground which are the hills of Asolo for the practice of this sport, the race has become year after year more and more technical and selective and enjoyed by thousands of bikers that recorded their names in the Hall of Fame of this event: Dario Cioni, Dario Aquaroli, Paola Pezzo, Miguel Martinez, Marco Bui, Jose Hermida, Thomas Dietsch, Annabella Stropparo, etc. The Gaerne Mountain Bike Trophy, that is at it 19 th edition, is the first stage of an international circuit of races called Internazionali d Italia XCO Series. The presence of the major cycling press and television increase the importance of this event. 3

4 LOCATION Maser is a lovely and tipically village in Marca trevigiana, rich of nature and art. Walking around the village, on the hills, it will be easy to find historicals Ville Palladiane ; the most important is Villa Maser, great example of 1500 s art. By foot or by MTB you can be in our green hills, up and down on tracks full of history and nature. Around the top of the Colli Sùlder and Collalto you can see the trench and the war observatory of the first World War. the Grande Guerra. Here and there a lot of century trees are testimony of the great respect to the nature. Between March and April, the flowers of cherry whitening the hills of Maser. A great opportunity, because the color and scent of cherries make unforgettable this short season. HOTELS See web site: 4

5 HOW TO GET IN MASER By Train: Cornuda Railway station 4 km (from Venezia, Treviso, Padova stations) By car: From Milan: A4 motorway direction Venezia, near Vicenza follow A31 (Valdastico) direction Piovene Rocchette. Exit Dueville then follow Bassano, Montebelluna, Asolo, then, direction Feltre, to Maser. The registration system will close THURSDAY 10 MARCH 2016 at 24:00 (CET) All the foreign riders has to show at the commissaires the authorisation of their federation to ride as in the art UCI RULES National, regional and club teams and their respective riders may not start in competitions abroad unless they hold authorisation in writing issued by their federation (except teams and riders from the same federation as the event organiser). 9 GENERAL INFORMATION REGISTRATION The registration will be open on Saturday 12 March from 8:30 to 18:00 and on Saturday 13 March from 07:00 to 13:30 by the Impianti Sportivi di Crespignaga di Maser. TEAM MANAGER MEETING FCI categories: Saturday 12 March at 09:45 by the registration office. For the UCI race and the youth categories: Saturday 12 March at at the Impianti Sportivi di Crespignaga di Maser. Feed and Technical pass will be distributed at the Team Manager Meeting (2 passes each 4 riders) All the team are required to attend the Team Manager Meeting in case there will be changes in the schedule or in the track. START/FINISH AREA DEPARTURE PROCEDURES The call up boxes will be inside the Footbal field close to the start line, the riders are required to be present in the boxes 15 min. before the start procedures The start list will be done following the UCI ranking and, then, the FCI ranking. 9

SHOWERS AND BIKE WASH Showers and Bike wash will be located at Impianti Sportivi di Crespignaga di Maser. FEED AND TECHNICAL ZONES There are 2 FTZ, the feed and technical zones are located near the start/finish area and by Via Collina MEDICAL ASSISTANCE The Medical Assistance will be ensured by at least one ambulance, two medical cars and a doctor. The ambulance will be placed near the start/finish area..
