2 INVITATION It is our great honour and pleasure to invite you all to participate in the 4th Asian Conference on Plant-Microbe Symbiosis and Nitrogen Fixation (4APMNF) organized in Penang, Malaysia. This biennial conference customarily unites researchers from Asia and all over the world interested in plant-microbe symbiosis biological nitrogen fixation as well as related fields. It provides a unique platform to share and discuss latest scientific achievements. This conference series was initiated in Miyazaki (Japan) The importance of the series has been recognized through the years with great attendance in 2012 at Phuket (Thailand), 2014 in Chengdu (China). In line with the rapid development and changes in the field of research, an understanding was born to inaugurate this series of conferences to provide opportunities to scientists and particularly to young ones from all over world to join in this dynamic part of their research life. 4 CALL FOR PAPERS Deadline: 1 June 2016 We encourages the submission of high quality oral and poster presentations. All abstracts must be submitted electronically to the APMNF 2016 secretariat, and must be in English - the official language of the conference. The abstract should contain: 1. Title: Bold, Arial, font size 12, capital letters and centred. 2. Author(s): Full name of authors, the name if the presenters for both oral and poster underlined (font 11). All authors affiliations to be listed in Arial font 11 and italics. If more than 1 institution, list them numerically in text. 3. address of corresponding author 4. Main abstract: Written in British English in Arial font 11, single spacing and justified, and should not be more than 300 words. The abstract should not less a 1.5 inch border. The abstract should include introduction, objectives, results and conclusion. No figures, tables and references to be included in abstract. GUIDELINES FOR POSTER PRESENTERS Posters should be presented in A1 (594 x 841 mm) size in POTRAIT orientation.
