2 THE INSTITUTE Actilangue was established in 1977 by Paul Ceccaldi, the Executive Director. Mélissa Spadaro is the Director of Studies. The Actilangue language courses are conducted solely in French by experienced instructors. THE LOCATION The school building is located in the heart of Nice, near the Hotel Negresco. The beach and the famous Promenade des Anglais are only a two minute walk away. ACTILANGUE ACCREDITATIONS Actilangue is registered as a private institute of higher education by the Ministry of National Education. Actilangue is referenced in the Language School Directory published by the Agence de promotion du FLE in France.

3 FAMILY (students from 14 years) ACCOMMODATION Living with a French family is the first step towards becoming better acquainted with the country, its people and its language. As the school cooperates with 100 carefully selected families, you have the possibility of expressing your personal preferences. All homes are carefully inspected and only those where the students will be made comfortable and welcome are accepted. Actilangue provides comfortable homes in safe, middle to upper class neighbourhoods that are located 5 to 20 minutes either walking distance or by bus from the institute. Available are single and double rooms with breakfast, half or full board. On the first day, the host family will show the students how to get to Actilangue. RESIDENCE FRANCE RIVIERA (students from 18 years) The Residence is located near the school and the beach. Each flat is fullyfurnished and equipped: kitchenette with hotplate and cooker hood, fridge, crockery, bathroom (shower, washbasin, WC). Air-conditioning. Free internet access. Self-service laundry. Bedsheets and towels are supplied and changed every week. Local tax included.

WRITTEN AND ORAL TESTS the day of arrival - Student card - Student guide. Teaching material - Certificate of attendance on departure. LODGING WITH A FAMILY in double room with half board (breakfast and dinner), from Sunday to Saturday (6 nights). AIRPORT/STATION TRANSFERS (pick up and return by each family). The students will pass near the Opera and the Hotel de Ville on the way to the famous market place. Walking tour through the small streets. Visit to the old castle (ruin) especially for the magnificent panoramic view on the bay of Nice. Wednesday afternoon - EXCURSION TO MONACO/MONTE-CARLO Departure at about 13:00. Visit of the old city, the cathedral and Prince's palace square. Tour in Monte-Carlo on the Casino's square. Friday afternoon - "MATISSE MUSEUM" & "ARENES DE CIMIEZ" in Nice Departure at about 14:00. The museum is located in an Italian villa (17th century) inside a beautiful park full of olive trees. Matisse arrived in Nice in 1917 and died there in His private collection and personal furniture can be seen in the museum.

The Grimaldi Castle where the Picasso museum is located is inside the old city: good selection of master's work, including drawings, prints and tapestries. Return in Nice at about 18:30. SCUBA DIVING EXPERIENCE at Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat For all participants (healthy and without ear problems). Technical explanations are given by the "Centre Nautique". The equipment (mask, fins and bottles) is provided. Boarding the ship "René Madeleine" around 15:30 to go diving near Cap Ferrat. Each participant plunges 5-8 meters deep with a certified instructor. AQUASPLASH (Water Park) Amusement park that features water play areas, such as water slides, splash pads, spray grounds (water playgrounds), lazy rivers, or other recreational bathing, swimming, and barefooting environments.
