2 1. Three-part door hinge n General Characteristics and advantages Three-part clampable door hinge especially developed for eurogroove with frame groove 14/18 mm. Vent weights up to 180 kg (with 4 hinges and depending on the profile sections). Entirely concealed fixing. Simple and efficient installation: milling and drilling is not necessary. Adjustable in 3 directions without disassembling the door vent but with unscrewing the fixing screws. The main advantage of this adjustment is that there is no offset between the frame part and the vent part during adjusting. In other words, the cylindrical shape of the hinge is preserved. Same hinge for left hand and right hand doors. Material: manufactured from non-corroding materials. --Hinge parts: aluminium --Clamping plates: zinc alloy --Adjustment: zinc alloy --Axis: austenitic stainless steel --Cover caps and bushes: synthetic material Finish: anodised, powder coated in more than 450 RAL colours and stainless steel look. Maintenance-free with high quality synthetic bushes. Attention: never lubricate the hinges! Profile dimensions The hinges are suitable for both rebated open-in doors and open-out doors. 3 General dimensions Security pin n If required the hinges can be provided with 2 security pins which engage into the frame to provide additional security against forced entry. The security pins replace the fixing screws on the vent profile. Material: stainless steel. Frame profile preparations: K.22.03

5 1.3. Hinge wedge n General For high doors and dependant on the profiles, we recommend to mount a hinge in the middle of the door in order to provide enough wind and water tightness. Another possibility is to mount a hinge wedge n Installation The hinge wedge must be mounted and adjusted in the correct position. 6 1.4. Assembly and disassembly Assembly Cut the gasket on the vent profile. Slide in and position the clamping plates in the frame and vent profile. Position the adjustment and the frame part. 4 5 T15 T10 T15 Tighten the screws of the frame part (5-7 Nm). Tighten the securing screw in the frame profile. Position the vent part. K.22.06

7 7 6 T15 Tighten the screws of the vent part (5-7 Nm). Mount the vent in the frame. Insert the hinge pin. Clip the end caps. 8 Disassembly Step 8: loosen the screw for the hinge pin. Push the hinge pin through the end cap holes with a pin tool. T10 Hole in the end cap Fix the hinge pin (max. 1 Nm). K.22.07

8 1.5. Adjustments Attention! Always support the door leaf before adjustment and then loosen the fixing screws. Height adjustment 1. Loosen the fixing screws 1/2 turn. 2. Adjust the hinge vertically: +/- 4 mm +/- 4 mm T15 Turn in the screw = lift the vent Turn out the screw = drop the vent Lateral adjustment +/- 1,5 mm 1. Fixing screws: + loosen 3 turns loosen 1 turn 2. Adjust the hinge horizontally: +/- 1.5 mm T15 Clockwise = inside gap Anti-clockwise = inside gap Gasket pressure adjustment Only possible when the gap between frame profile and vent profile is more than 3.7 mm. 1. Loosen the fixing screws 1/2 turn. 2. Adjust the gasket pressure: from 0 to -0.8 mm T15 0 to -0.8 mm K.22.08

9 2. Two-part door hinge series General characteristics Application The 2-part hinges with attractive aesthetics can be used for open-in as well as for open-out rebated doors with eurogroove. Finish Hinge n Hinge n and n and n for open-in door for open-out door Frame and vent part: aluminium anodised or polyester powder coated in more than 450 RAL colours. Clamping plates: zinc alloy, zinc plated. Hinge pin and screws: stainless steel. Guiding bushes and cover caps: --white plastic for white coated hinges; --black plastic for anodised and in all other colour coated hinges. Adjustment All hinges provide horizontal and vertical adjustment: --Continuous vertical adjustment: +/-4 mm by turning in or out the adjustment screw. -- Non-continuous horizontal adjustment: mm to mm by means of a toothed plate = adjustment inside gap. Assembly The clampable hinges are mounted in the frame and vent groove by means of clamping plates and drill screws, so that drilling and milling is no longer necessary. Security If required the hinges can be provided with security pins which engage into the frame to provide additional security against forced entry. The hinge pin for open-out doors is locked by a grub screw making it impossible to remove when the door is closed. K.22.09

18 After assembling the hinges, the door will drop in most cases. This can be corrected by adjusting the top and bottom hinge. Adjustment: -- First you have to support the door by means of an object: e.g. a piece of wood, Then untighten the fixing screws of the vent part. This is very important because otherwise it is difficult to move the toothed plates. -- The inside gap is in this case too big. The top hinge must be made smaller. First you remove the thickness plate and then you adjust (non-continuous) the hinge. Adjustment range: mm to mm. -- The inside gap at the bottom is too small. The bottom hinge must be pushed open. Now, you adjust the hinge (continuous). Adjustment range: 0 mm to mm. Vertical adjustment (height adjustment) First, you untighten the fixing screws of the frame part. Continuous vertical adjustment of +4 mm to -4 mm by turning in or out the adjustment screw. K.22.18
