You cannot have an open out door with a low ali threshold Available in Rosewood, Rosewood on white*, Sherwood and Sherwood on white* (* extended lead time 4-6 weeks) Available to be sprayed in any RAL colour The only colour options for handles are white, gold or satin, chrome is not available The only colour options for hinges are white or brown Important information We do not recommend installing PVC bi-fold doors in exposed locations; you should be supplying aluminium bi-fold doors in these instances We do not recommend non white bi-fold doors due to expansion and compression issues and are unable to offer guarantee s on these products. Ultimately it is your choice but we would recommend aluminium bi fold doors be used instead. You must ensure that this product is fitted correctly and that the heads are securely fixed otherwise the sashes will catch due to the weight Bi-folds are not available in white, cream or black laminated profiles Head vents can only be fitted in to an additional 40mm add on All bi-folds have a 40mm add-on fixed to the top of the frame and on the following schemes 220/440/660 they also have a 25mm add on each side Schemes 220/440/660/202/404/606 are only available with internal handles. All other schemes have one handle both sides with additional internal handles. Structural supports must be provided for if using bi-folds in apertures without sufficient lintels or in conservatories, you should check with your roof supplier for further details With a PVC threshold the track is fitted to the top of the frame, if you choose a low ali threshold the track is fitted to the bottom and you do not need a 40mm add on

2 Cross section of standard bi-fold with PVC threshold Outside Cross section showing a cill section You can use the current cill section and simply fit the lip of the cill in the rebated part of the frame as shown above Or you could fit a 15mm add on to the bottom of the frame and then fit the cill as normal 70 mm 20 mm 105 mm Cross section of bi-fold with low ali threshold The ali threshold can be sunk into the ground to give a virtually trip free threshold. Outside Rubber seal on the low aluminium threshold fits flush to the underside of the door sashes to provide a barrier to the elements. Please note this product has not been severe weather tested.

3 Available combinations All bi-folds have a 40mm add-on fixed to the top of the frame (unless you specify a low ali threshold) and on the following schemes 220/440/660, due to the configuration of the hinges they also have a 25mm add on each side. Schemes 220/440/660/202/404/606 are only available with internal handles. All other schemes have one handle both sides with additional internal handles.

4 Bi-fold door Selection Sheet Below are all the variations available, the first number relates to the total number of door sections, the second number relates to the number of door sections opening to the left and the third number relates to the number of door sections opening to the right. e.g. Scheme 431 this has 4 section, 3 opening to the left and 1 opening to the right /440/660 Extra 25mm add on to each jamb 202/220/404/440/606/660 only available with internal handles Please note: In order to avoid costly mistakes we need one of these sheets completing for each bi-fold door ordered. The aluminium rails fit flush to the top and bottom of the bi-fold doors. All the above schemes are viewed from outside. Please check the data sheet for the full specifications. 5 In order to prevent damage during transit. All the bi-fold doors will be fully assembled in the factory, however, in order to prevent damage during transit to the bottom metal rail we remove the bottom roller guide section of the door prior to shipping. Refitting The bottom roller guide section (shown below) can be refitted easily by simply locating the pins on it into the pre drilled holes on the frame and fixing it with the 3 screws provided. The roller section (as shown) can be removed to ease fitting using a 13mm spanner. A hinge pin (supplied) will connect the two door sections (as shown). The plastic covers can then be fitted. Hinge pin fits here If required the bottom roller can be removed to ease fitting using a 13mm spanner These sections will be removed prior to delivery in order to reduce damage.

6 Adjustment and Glazing requirements for bi-fold doors All Bi Fold Doors must be fitted squarely into their opening to allow correct operation and it is imperative that the head of the frame is secured as firmly as possible. It is also imperative that there is sufficient support at the head, such as a lintel in order to ensure that there is no weight bearing down on the head of the outer frame when it is installed in position. Any bowing of the head will cause the sashes to bind on the cill and will cause damage to the bottom track. We will not be liable for poorly fitted frames and any remedial work carried out to correct this by ourselves may be chargeable. Fitting & Glazing To be carried out prior to Adjustment, the frame must be securely fitted with through frame fixings at centres of no greater than 450mm (to all sections including the frame head). The correct glazing packers must then be fitted as shown and should be tight to the glass, in order to support it s weight in the correct areas. Failure to glaze these products correctly may result in poor operation of the bi fold door and lead to damage. Packer to each Positions leaf as shown

7 Bi-fold door adjustments Lateral adjustment of Bi Fold Doors can be achieved by using a 5mm allen key inserted in the side of the hinge as shown. You should always start from the first sash, (the one fitted to the frame with butt hinges), and then adjust each one in sequence along the run, ensuring that the gap between each sash remains even. PLEASE NOTE that these adjustments should not be used to correct glazing issues. Height adjustments are made using the top wheel section, as shown on the picture. Use a 17mm spanner to release the lock nut, a 5mm allen key can then be used to raise or lower the sash to required height. PLEASE NOTE that you must check to ensure that the compression adjustment nut on the bottom roller section clears the bottom track, failure to check this may result in the track becoming damaged. Compresion adjustment can be carried out on the roller and wheel sections by loosening the bolt shown in the pictures. Using a 13mm spanner this section can the be moved in and out to set the door compresion, once you have the required compression ensure that you tightened the bolt.

8 Instuctions for refitting sashes to PVC bi-fold doors Steps 7-13 for 2/3 & 4 pane doors, steps 1-21 for all others 1) Refit door/doors to frame by inserting plastic bushes into sash section, offering door into frame and refitting locating pin 2) Refit plastic cover to top and bottom of the hinge 3) Offer up the second door lining up the hinge parts as shown 4) Fit locating pin to hinge and hammer into place being careful not to damage sash 5) Fit plastic cover over hinge 6) Fit second plastic covers over Hinge and repeat operation for all hinges 7) To fit bottom roller first insert section with single pin into sash and align square with profile edge 8) Screw into place with fixings provided 9) Offer up the bottom roller to the track and push into place

9 10) Twist the roller section into place lining up the locating pins with the corresponding holes in the sash 11) Using a nylon mallet tap the roller section into place 12) Refit connecting pin before screwing into place 13) Now refit the plastic covers 14) To refit the top roller section offer up the roller section to the opening in top track 15) Then slide the roller section into place and move it along the rail ready for fixing 16) Align the locating pins up with the pre- drilled holes and push into place 17) Now fix it into place with the screws provided 18) Refit the second half of wheel section and align it so that the hinge pin can be fitted. 19) Now screw it into place and refit the hinge pin 20) All you have to then do it refit both covers 21) Continue these operations until you have refitted all the door sashes

10 In order to ensure that all the bi-folds are delivered to the same standard each door goes through the following basic check.
