1 An actor-training program for youth performers ages 6-17: INSPIRE THE IMAGINATION DEVELOP ACTING SKILLS BUILD CONFIDENCE SUPPORT CREATIVE EXPRESSION
2 WELCOME TO STAGES ACTIN FIRST STAGE: AGES 6-7 Our youngest students explore stories, create characters and play constructive acting games designed to build their acting skills and gain confidence to perform for an audience. CENTER STAGE: AGES 7-8 Students take a step up from First Stage to build self-confidence and acting skills while creating characters, constructing scenes, performing short plays and practicing beginning musical theatre skills. JUNIOR CONSERVATORY: AGES 9-11 Students engage in a more in-depth approach to developing their acting skills through creating original work, studying musical theatre, playing with improvisation, and performing short plays. WRITTEN EVALUATIONS: At the end of each session, each student receives a written evaluation from their instructor. Each session ends with a showcase of skills learned for family & friends
3 G CONSERVATORY TEEN CONSERVATORY: AGES A comprehensive program designed to allow teen performers to build their acting skills and explore different theatre techniques to succeed on stage, in rehearsals, and at auditions. TRACK TRAINING PROGRAM An intensive, two-year training program where teen performers build a solid foundation for acting through training the body, voice, and imagination for performance; exploring improvisation; learning how to approach a script and developing character. ACTING NUTS & BOLTS A nine-week acting intensive for the teen performer to hone acting skills by exploring nonologues, scenes, and improvisation. BOOT CAMP: AGES Four-week master classes on specialty topics such as audition techniques, musical theatre, puppeteering and improvisation. Boot Camp classes are offered in the months of October, November, and April, and do not conflict with other Conservatory classes.

Students take a role, learn their lines, work with fellow actors and put on a show! Tuesdays: January 17 March 14, 2017 / 4:30-6PM Saturdays: January 14 March 11, 2017 / 9-10:30AM Tuesday classes meet at the Hopkins Center for the Arts Saturday classes meet at FAIR School-Crystal *Students must be age 6 by the first day of class. Wednesdays: September 28 December 7, 2016 / 4-6PM or Saturdays: October 1 December 10, 2016 / 9-11AM *No classes October 12 or 15 and November 23 or 26 WINTER/SPRING SESSION Putting on a Play: The Rehearsal Process Students build their acting skills while exploring the rehearsal process and performing a short play with their fellow actors Wednesdays: January 18 March 15, 2017 / 4-6PM or Saturdays: January 14 March 11, 2017 / 9-11AM Wednesday classes meet at the Hopkins Center for the Arts Saturday classes meet at FAIR School-Crystal *Students must be age 7 by the first day of session.
5 JUNIOR CONSERVATORY: AGES 9-11 $ per student, per session FALL SESSION Devising Your Story Students develop their acting skills through constructing interesting characters and unique stories with their fellow actors. Wednesdays: September 28 December 7, 2016 / 4-6PM or Thursdays: September 29 December 8, 2016 / 4-6PM or Saturdays: October 1 December 10, 2016 / 9-11AM *No classes October 12, 13 or 15 and November 23, 24 or 26 WINTER/SPRING SESSION Performing & The Rehearsal Process Students delve into the rehearsal process while collaborating on the performance of a short scripted musical Wednesdays: January 25 March 15, 2017 / 4-6PM or Thursdays: January 26 March 16, 2017 / 4-6PM or Saturdays: January 14 March 11, 2017 / 9-11AM Wednesday & Thursday classes meet at the Hopkins Center for the Arts Saturday classes meet at FAIR School-Crystal *Students must be age 9 by the first day of session.
6 TEEN CONSERVATORY: AGE TRACK TRAINING A comprehensive, two-year training program designed to give the teen performer the space and time for in-depth growth as an actor. Students commit to one-year of the program at a time and must audition for track placement. CONTACT OUR CONSERVATORY DIRECTOR, JEANNINE COULOMBE AT (952) TO SCHEDULE YOUR AUDITION. TRACK ONE - AN ACTOR PREPARES $ per student/per year Students form a solid foundation for acting by learning how to prepare the body, mind and voice for performance; explore improvisation; approach a script; develop a character; and work as an ensemble. Students explore both monologues and scenes from contemporary theatre throughout their 18-week study. Meets twice a week for 2 hours for 18 weeks. Students commit to both sessions of training. Saturdays: 9:30-11:30AM and Mondays: 4-6PM FALL TERM September 24 - December 3, 2016 *No class October 10 or 15 and Nov. 21 or 26 WINTER/SPRING TERM January 21 March 18, 2017 *Students must be age 12 by September 24, TRACK TWO - AN ACTOR PLAYS Students build on their acting foundation from Track One by engaging in an in-depth practice in a variety of different performance styles. Each class is desgined to explore these styles to challenge, grow, and hone the performers acting skills. Two performance styles are offered each year on a rotating basis. In , we will offer Track Two students an intensive in MUSICAL THEATRE and DEVISED WORK. Students must complete Track One (or the equivalent) to be eligible for Track Two classes.
7 S ACTING NUTS & BOLTS: AGES $175 per student/per session A nine-week acting intensive designed for ages Students hone acting skills through exploring monologues, scenes and improvisation. Designed for students turning 12 during the school year or those unable to commit to our track training program. WINTER/SPRING SESSION ONLY January 17 March 14, 2017 Tuesdays: 4-6PM Meets once a week for nine weeks. Classes meet at the Hopkins Center for the Arts *Students must be age 12 by the first week of the session.
8 BOOT CAMP: AGES All Boot Camp Classes are $99 Audition Boot Camp Part 1 The Prepared Audition Learn to show your best at an audition, including the prepared monologue, the prepared song and the dance audition. Fall Session Tuesdays, Sept, 27, Oct. 4, 18 & 25, 2016 Spring Session Tuesdays, April 4, 11, 18 & 25, 2017 Audition Boot Camp Part 2 The Callback You re earned the callback. Now what? Learn to bring your best to the callback, including cold readings, singing from the show and dancing set choreography. Fall Session Tuesdays, Nov. 8, 15, 29 & Dec. 6, 2016 STUDENTS PRACTICE AUDITION SKILLS IN A MOCK AUDITION STUDENTS AUDITIONS IN BOOTCAMP RECEIVE FEEDBACK ON MONOLOGUES, SINGING & DANCING
9 Improvisation Boot Camp Learn how to think on your feet, react in the moment and have a whole lot of fun without knowing what comes next. Spring Session - Wednesdays, April 5, 12, 19 & 26, 2017 STUDENTS PERFORM AN IMPROVISATION PRESENTATION FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS! Puppeteering Boot Camp What are the skills of a puppeteer? How do you animate a puppet? What does puppeteering have to do with acting? Learn the process of how to animate a range of different puppets and styles, while also being an engaging and dynamic actor. Spring Session Thursday, April 6, 13, 20 & 27, 2017 STUDENTS WILL SHOWCASE THEIR NEW PUPPET SKILLS FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS! STUDENTS CAN TAKE BOTH BOOT CAMP CLASSES & REGULAR CLASSES AT THE SAME TIME!

11 REGISTRATION Full payment is due at the time of registration. Payment plans are available for Teen Conservatory Track Training. Tuition assistance is available for all classes. There is a $5 handling fee added per student. A $25 deposit (part of your registration fee) and all handling fees are non-refundable. Refunds will be issued (minus deposit and handling fee) for all classes cancelled one week prior to the class start date.
