3 MESSAGE FROM OUR SCHOOL DIRECTOR As I write this, I m supposed to be on a summer break, but I m very busy. That s not a complaint. I m happy to be working as an actor, producer, writer and director on several film, TV and theatre projects. I just spent a week on the final edit of a film I wrote and directed last year. The film showcases performances by a PTE School instructor and student alumni. I am also attending creative meetings for a new theatre project I m developing in collaboration with some prominent local artists, several of whom also teach at PTE School. I will be out of town for two weeks in July to act in a TV show, co-written and starring one of my former acting students. In the fall, I ll be appearing on the mainstage at the Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre. Some of my fellow cast-members in that show are PTE School instructors and student alumni. And, of course, many of the artists working on Prairie Theatre Exchange productions during the 2013/2014 season are PTE School instructors and alumni. I m not just bragging. I m describing what makes PTE School so great. PTE School operates in a professional theatre setting. We offer excellent training provided by professional theatre, film and television artists who are currently working in their disciplines. Our students are taught by successful working professional artists. We re the real thing. Come join me and my colleagues at PTE School this year and let the pros show you how to leave your mark.
