2 7th ANNUAL UCSF/UC DAVIS Thoracic Oncology Conference COURSE OVERVIEW The 7th Annual UCSF/UCD Thoracic Oncology Conference is a one-day conference highlighting updates on lung cancer, mesothelioma and esophageal cancer, featuring national leaders in the field. The intended audience is practicing physicians and nurses in the areas of internal medicine, oncology, radiation oncology, pulmonology, and surgery in the Bay Area and Northwestern United States. The conference is being offered through the UCSF Office of Continuing Medical Education Office, an independent accredited CME program sponsor. This conference is presented as part of National Lung Cancer Awareness Month and is the longest running conference on Thoracic Oncology in the United States. Describe the use of interventional radiology in the treatment of lung cancer and other thoracic maligancies. Identify the latest combined modality therapies available for patients with lung cancer. Describe the treatment options and clinical trials available to patients with mesothelioma. Describe the advances in our molecular understanding of lung cancer and mesothelioma.
