1 New Faculty, Administration, and Support Staff Early Childhood Teachers Nancy McDonnell now serves as a Little Hive teacher at Hutchison. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Western Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Chicago State University. She has taught preschool at St. Chrysostom s Day School in Chicago, as well as first grade in the Chicago Public Schools. Faye Rainer joins Hutchison as a Little Hive teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts, Speech Pathology, from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Previously she served as a preschool teacher at Buntyn Preschool. She also has many years of experience working as a live-out nanny for several Memphis families. Madison Murray now serves as the early childhood and lower school music teacher. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Business from the University of Memphis. She assumes this position after working in the SPARK after-care program. She has also worked as an independent violin and music instructor. Lower School Teachers Caroline Simpson joins Hutchison as a 2 nd grade teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Child Studies from Vanderbilt University. For the past three years, she was a first grade teacher in the Metro Nashville Public Schools. Previously she served as a student teacher at several elementary schools in Nashville. Jennifer Stanford now serves as a 2 nd grade teacher at Hutchison. She has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education, both from the University of Memphis. She has held teaching positions at Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, Kate Bond Elementary, Grace-St. Luke s Episcopal School, and St. Paul Catholic School.

2 Middle School Teachers Jacqui Ridout joins Hutchison as a 5 th grade science teacher. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Florida and a Master of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education, from Bethel College. She has more than 15 years of experience teaching in elementary schools in Tennessee, most recently as a 4 th grade math and science teacher with the Shelby County Schools. Lauren Huddleston joins Hutchison as a 7 th grade English teacher. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, English, and a Master of Education, both from Vanderbilt University s Peabody College. She has taught language arts at Lausanne Collegiate School for the past three years, where she also coached the middle school girls lacrosse team. Upper School Teachers Michele Cervetti joins Hutchison as middle school learning specialist. She obtained a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Education, both from the University of Memphis. Previously she was part of the faculty in the Instruction and Curriculum Leadership department at the University of Memphis and was a consultant for R.I.S.E. Project (Restructuring for Inclusive School Environments) at the University of Memphis. She also taught at St. Benedict at Auburndale. Jill Allen is the lower school/middle school physical education teacher. She was previously the athletic director at Westminster Academy in Memphis, where she coached cross country, basketball, and soccer. From , she was the assistant lacrosse coach at Hutchison. She also served as the athletic director at St. Mary s Episcopal School and has taught physical education at several schools in Virginia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation from DePauw University, as well as a Teaching Certification in Physical Education for K-12. Christie Jones joins Hutchison as a Social Sciences and English teacher. She has a diverse educational background and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Los Angeles, a Master of Arts in Multicultural Education with an ESOL Endorsement from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master of Journalism from the University of North Texas. Jones has taught at the Memphis Academy of Health Sciences, at several universities in Texas, and at middle and high schools in Florida.

3 Kriangsiri Malasri, known as Top, is Hutchison s new Computer Science teacher. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Memphis. He taught computer science at the University of Memphis and received the College of Arts and Sciences Award for Teaching Excellence in Hardy Farrow is Hutchison s new part-time History and Social Sciences teacher and visiting scholar on Entrepreneurship. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from George Washington University. He is the founder of Let s Innovate Through Education, an entrepreneurial non-profit that inspires students to launch social venture projects to improve Memphis. He has also taught and recruited for Teach for America. Assistant Teachers Caroline Cousins is a Little Hive assistant teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Merchandising Management from the University of Memphis. She has worked at Presbyterian Day School as a substitute teacher for early childhood and nursery. Previously, she created and marketed her own children s accessories line. Andrea Jeter, a 2007 graduate of Hutchison, is a Little Hive assistant teacher and assistant SPARK director. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Auburn University. She has worked as a SPARK summer day camp counselor and SPARK after-school counselor. She has also served as a substitute teacher in Hutchison s Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School. Allison Walker now serves as a junior kindergarten assistant teacher. She received a Bachelor of Arts in English, with a minor in Educational Studies, from the University of Alabama. She is familiar with the Hutchison environment, having worked as a first grade and second grade interim teacher and a Little Hive after-care provider. She has also served as a private and group swim instructor.

4 Elizabeth Bowman, a 2006 graduate of Hutchison, returns to her alma mater as a Little Hive assistant teacher. She was previously a pre-kindergarten assistant teacher at St. Andrew s Episcopal School in Jackson, MS. In the past, she served as an instructor in Hutchison s after-school fine arts program. She holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts, with a major in Art, from the University of Mississippi and a Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Memphis. Maria Luong will serve as a Computer Science teaching assistant. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Memphis and expects to complete her Master s in Computer Science in December She has served as a teaching and research assistant at the University of Memphis. Administration and Support Staff Elizabeth Jordan, a 1986 graduate of Hutchison, is our new early childhood head. Widely recognized as one of the Mid-South s most respected thought leaders in early childhood education, Elizabeth brings more than 15 years of experience to this role. She has served as both an administrator and teacher of junior kindergarten and two-yearolds. Most recently, she served as the director of Emmanuel United Methodist Kindergarten (EUMK). She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education from the University of Memphis. Matt Nelson joins Hutchison as assistant athletic director. Over the course of his career, he has built and led winning athletic programs at both the private/independent school and collegiate levels. In addition to his accomplishments in athletics, he has enjoyed a successful stint as an IT professional and sales manager in the corporate world. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Arts from Thomas Aquinas College. Emma Cockerham now serves as Hutchison s athletic coordinator. Prior to Hutchison, she worked in hospitality and resort management at The Memphis Marriott, holding the positions of front desk clerk and group housing manager. She also worked as service coordinator at The Holiday Inn and Fogelman Executive Center. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business, Marketing and Management.

5 Janie Baker joins Hutchison as upper school coordinator. She brings to Hutchison a number of years of accounting and administrative experience at Gestalt Community Schools, Shelby County Schools, Memphis City Schools, and Breath of Life Christian Academy. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Freed-Hardeman University. Faith Ferrell joins Hutchison as college counseling coordinator. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Christian Brothers University. She previously worked for Farmers Insurance Group as an Insurance Producer and at On the Border as a host and coordinator. Nathan Rivera joins Hutchison as theater technical director. He has more than 10 years of experience as an audio and lighting engineer, managing equipment for plays, musicals, comedians, ballets, and concerts. He works professionally in sound and concert production in many theaters and festivals in the Mid-South. He s also proficient at generating working drawings for set construction. Previously, he served in the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Gabrielle Prewitt now serves as Hutchison s communications specialist. She assists in generating purposeful, consistent, and compelling content for print and online communications. During her undergraduate career at University of Memphis, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, she held internships with LeBonheur Foundation, National Hardwood Lumber Association, and The Scout Guide Memphis. She also worked as a SPARK counselor and substitute teacher in Hutchison s Early Childhood and Lower School for two years. Max Maddock joins Hutchison as senior communications director, responsible for the school s print publications. He has experience in writing, corporate communications, and branding. Previous to Hutchison, he was senior copywriter at Trinity Wall Street, a historic Episcopal Church in New York City. He worked for the global branding agency Landor Associates. He started his career as an assistant editor at Skiing magazine. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Memphis and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from The New School.
