Approval of New Programs under the Postsecondary Authorization Act ACTION RECOMMENDED: Approval BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The Commission, under the Postsecondary Authorization Act, has the power and duty to act upon applications for authorization of educational programs in the state. Applications have been reviewed and all necessary documentation for the institutions submitting new program applications is in accordance with the Act and postsecondary rules. The Committee on Postsecondary Educational Institutions, which is a review and advisory committee to the Commission, met on January 13, 2011 and affirmed staff recommendations for approval. A. Argosy University Nashville, TN Authorization Date: November 15, 2001 Higher Learning Commission, North Central Association Highest Credential Offered: Doctoral Degree Argosy University is seeking authorization for four new programs.
