Yellow Springs, OH (937) If you would like to make a reservation or need more information, please call the Tecumseh Council Scout Office at (937) In 1932, Camp Hugh Taylor Birch began with 25-acres of land and a vision. Today, Camp Birch has grown to encompass 440 acres of woodland that serves our Scouting and non-scouting communities on a year-round basis. Camp Birch replete with a dining hall that serves 300, an Olympic size swimming pool, a 10- acre lake, and many other facilities is our outdoor facility that we use to teach character, citizenship, personal fitness, and environmental awareness. Besides our Cub and Boy Scouts, Camp Birch is used by churches, schools, other youth groups, the National Guard and college organizations. Every weekend, 10 to 15 different groups are camping or using the Adams Training Building, our training and educational center, for meetings. Several renovations have been completed recently at Camp Birch, including new shower and restroom facilities. Four new modern cabins with similar facilities have also been built. Adjacent to Clifton Gorge, John Bryan State Park and Glen Helen Nature Preserve, Camp Hugh Taylor Birch is an integral part of 2,000 continuous acres of natural woodlands. The United States Air Force Museum is located less than an hour's drive from Camp Birch.

5 COUNCIL RING $35.00 per day Seats 300 people Electricity and lights CLIMBING TOWER $10.00 per person Available March to December The Climbing Tower is only available for Council sponsored events Reservations for sponsored outings with a certified council approved guide may be made by contacting Rob Sparks at (937) A $100 prepaid minimum applies to reservations made through the Council Office POOL $1.50 per person Available June 15th to August 1st Group must provide a minimum of one adult with BSA or YMCA Lifeguard certificate AND at least one adult with a current Safe Swim Defense training A minimum of 2 adults must be present, and a 1 adult / 8 youth ratio is required LAKEFRONT $3.00 per craft (canoe or rowboat) Equipment provided includes PFD, paddles, oars, and watercraft 10 acre Martin Lake Fishing (catch and release only)

6 ARCHERY and BB GUN $5.00 per person Fees include the rental and use of range, all equipment and ammo provided A council approved Range Officer must be on hand throughout use of the range A minimum of 2 adults must be present, and a 1 adult / 8 youth ratio is required RIFLE and SHOTGUN $10.00 per person Rifle available year round Shotgun available April 1st to October 31st Fees include the rental and use of range, all equipment and ammo provided Person holding a BSA or NRA Range Director card or equivalent military certification must be on hand throughout the use of the range A minimum of 2 adults must be present, and a 1 adult / 8 youth ratio is required Rifle 50 round limit, Shotgun 25 round limit ADDITIONAL INFORMATION A roster of all persons attending camp must be turned in at check-in Fees must be paid for all persons using facilities, day program or overnight use If your reservation must be cancelled, do this 4 weeks prior to your reservation date or your fees will be forfeited If you are a no-show, your fees will be forfeited Only one car is permitted to campsite Blackout periods apply due to Council sponsored events for both Scout groups and non-scout groups Cots can be rented for $3 per cot DIRECTIONS TO CAMP BIRCH From I-70 take ST RT 68 S towards Xenia As you enter Yellow Springs turn left onto ST RT 343 Turn right onto Swimming Pool Road Camp Birch is located on the right at the end of the road
