1 Electronics Components Enable Business - 7th EEMELI Workshop Arto Maaninen & Harri Kopola Helsinki
2 Electronics components enable business workshops background The workshops started 2009 and the main goal of the workshops has been the activation of research on components and component technologies. Electronic, optic and optoelectronic components have very important role when creating and developing new products, solutions and services Finnish electronics component industry still has strong competences and high level research will bring new potential enabling technologies on demonstrations. How do we process these possibilities for the power (vitality) of renewing electronics industry In workshops four topical areas have been identified: Microsystems Printed intelligence Photonic solutions RF-applications
3 Electronics components enable business Successful projects launched Tekes has granted funding for jointly funded electronics R&D projects, total volume over 15 M. On-going Microsystems projects PIEZO-MEMS, piezoelectric thin film deposition processes Reliable MEMS, improve reliability of MEMS based sensor systems SUMI, High performance microsystems, Proof-of-commercialisation project MECHALD, Mechanical properties of ALD-thin films
4 Electronics components enable business Successful projects launched On-going Printed intelligence projects PIPA, Printed Interconnection Platform for system-on-flex Applications IDOLED, Productisation of flexible OLEDs for RFID smartcard applications AUTOSYS, Autonomous R2R systems Prindemo-POC, PrintoCent proof-of-concepts and demonstrators for commercialization
