5 MERIDIEM - MACHINE TECHNOLOGY CENTER TURKU LTD The Machine Technology Center Turku Ltd. is a competence center responsible for the regional and national execution of public maritime cluster development programmes. Machine Technology Center Ltd. in cooperation with the City of Turku have established a solid platform called Meridiem for interdisciplinary, business-oriented and innovative research and development activities. 6 SEASIDE INDUSTRY PARK RAUMA Seaside Industry Park is a resource-efficient industry park for heavy metal industry. The superior logistics consists of deep fairway, harbour, railroad and road connection. Several successful main contractors operate in the park with efficient and expansive supplier network. The Industry Park consists of versatile infrastructure for heavy metal industry and comprehensive set of common services. 7 TURKU UNIVERSITY OF APPLIED SCIENCES - TUAS TUAS hosts nearly 10,000 students studying for a Bachelors or Master s degree. Approximately 1,500 professionals graduate from TUAS annually from four faculties: Faculty of Technology, Environment and Business, Faculty of Business, ICT and Life Sciences, Arts Academy and Faculty of Health and Well-being.
