1 Objective Step 1: This instruction guide is here to walk you through the steps of completing your American Equity appointment upon getting licensed. You must complete your AML certification before beginning this appointment process. If you have not completed your AML training, please click here. Please follow these instructions step-by-step in order to avoid any issues in getting this information submitted correctly. If you have any questions please send them via to You can access the American Equity appointment forms by logging into the M3-WFG Appointment Portal (click here). You ll need to register as a new user before you can proceed.
2 Step 2: During the registration process, please select to use your Social Security Number (SSN), Last Name, and Password. Make sure the box is checked labeled OK to pull my PDB Report. All other fields may be left blank. Please remember this password, as you will probably need it later. Once you ve finished filling out this info, select Add Me
3 Step 3: Next, please fill in the missing information for your personal profile. Most of this information should be prepopulated. Click Next to continue. Step 4: For this section, make sure to select Licensed Only Agent in the Doing Business As section. Then click next to continue.
4 Step 5: Please answer all the background questions on this screen before proceeding to the next step. Step 6: During this step, you should see your License information already populated. If you are licensed in multiple states, you should see an icon for each of those licenses. Click Next to continue.
5 Step 7: During this section you ll need to add the past 7 years of your employment history. Remember to account for time spent in school or unemployment if you were not working. Step 8: Please skip this section concerning E&O insurance. This is maintained through WFG at the home office. Please click Next without adding E&O information.
6 Step 9: During this section we will be uploading your AML certificate. If you do not have a copy of your AML certificate, please send an to mwfassistant@gmail.com to request a copy. If you are NOT securities licensed please select No on the question regarding FINRA. For the AML Training Provider question, please select Other. If you have any other professional designations, such as a CFP, please check the appropriate boxes. Click Next to continue.
7 Step 10: At this screen you will need to upload your copy of your AML certificate. Click Blue Envelope to the right and upload your certificate. If you ve uploaded it correctly you will see an icon below that shows the date and time it was uploaded with a message saying Status Complete. Click Next to continue. Step 11: Apply your signature to the forms by selecting Accept to the consent form. Then select the box that says Add Signature and draw your signature with your mouse. If you re satisfied with your signature select Request Appointment to verify and complete the appointment process. Note: You will be prompted that you have not added E&O information. Please click Yes to proceed.

9 Step 12: During this stage please select American Equity investment Life Ins Co as the only Carrier you re requesting appointment for at this time. Then click the bullet Contract for the type of request. Click Next to continue.
10 You ll then need to select the state, or states, you re requesting appointment in, and select Fixed Annuity as the Product type. Click Next to continue. Finish answering the 2 questions below. Check No when asked if you ve completed specific product training we ll do this step next. Click Next to continue.
11 Step 13: To finish the appointment process, please verify that all the information on this screen looks correct. If it looks correct, please select Confirm at the top right of the screen, or at the very bottom of the screen. After confirming, please click Apply my signature so all signatures are applied in the correct places. You should see a prompt showing you that the forms were submitted successfully. Step 14: At this point, we re ready to go into the product training. Please click Log Out, close the window and return to the American Equity appointment page of the Team Impact site by clicking here.
12 Step 15: On the Team Impact American Equity Appointment page click the button titled American Equity Training to begin your 2 Product Training modules. In order to register for this course you ll need your License Number that you used to access the AML course. If you no longer know what this number is, please send an to mwfassistant@gmail.com. Enter your information on the Product Training page to access the course.
13 Step 16: Once you ve logged into the training course you ll need to select 2 separate modules Foundation Gold and Lifetime Income Benefit Rider. Once you ve completed each training, and the associated questions, your appointment process will be complete. You should receive an confirming your completion. You will also receive a new agent number that will be used for this company only. Please write that agent number down so you don t forget it when submitting new business with American Equity.
