2 Welcome to YU Summer Camp! Youth University provides summer programs like no other. As professional educators, we appreciate the importance of nurturing independence, developing social skills, and helping children cultivate curiosity through exploration and discovery. Year-after-year children return for the adventures and sense of community that we create together. YU mentors Our university student staff are selected for their contagious enthusiasm, their sense of humor, their desire to make a difference, and of course their expertise. Our staff will make sure your child is having a great time. They will also bring subjects to life in ways they would never expect... and will never forget. Health and safety We are considered to be leaders in safety management for youth and always design our programs to meet the highest standards. Our commitment to safety begins with our staff hiring and training. We are guided by, and exceed, standards set out by OPHEA, the Association for Challenge Course Technology, and the Ontario Camp Association. Wow moments We hear it again and again during our programs: I never thought I could do this, I really feel like I belong here, I love learning about this. Whether swimming in the pool, learning about DNA in science or climbing our challenge course our camps are about trying new things and beginning to dream about a future built on passions and lifelong learning.
