Each page is self-explanatory and very easy to use. We have also included answer sheets, as required, to compare your child s answers with the correct answers and/or typical solutions. To get started, you can save this PDF file to your computer, print out all the samples, or navigate to any page and print it. 4 The Perfect Beach Hat Karen was visiting her Aunt Susan at her house at the beach. It was a beautiful warm summer day. Karen built a giant sand castle early in the morning. Aunt Susan took pictures of the castle to send to Karen s parents. Karen wanted to play on the beach that afternoon. She wanted to build another sand castle. Aunt Susan told her it was too hot and too sunny. Aunt Susan said Karen could go only if she put on sunscreen and took a hat with her. Karen didn t have a hat to wear. Aunt Susan had a lot of them. Aunt Susan said that Karen could borrow one of her hats, since bigger hats were better especially at the beach. Karen tried on four hats. The pink one was really pretty, but it had a big bow and the ribbons kept going into Karen s eyes. That would not be good for building a sand castle. The blue hat was too fancy. Karen did not like that hat at all. The red hat was nice, but it had flowers on it. Karen was afraid the flowers would get dirty. Then Karen saw a big straw hat with a short red ribbon on it. The bow was not too droopy. The hat was not too fancy. It would be easy to clean. Karen knew it was the perfect hat. Copyright 2010 From Teacher To Parent Page 4 of 15
