3 AFRICAN SAFARI WORKSHOP Go on a Safari adventure with Young Rembrandts this summer! We will explore the exciting land and many animals that inhabit Africa. In five days we will draw a variety of animals in various scenes with different media. To keep things exciting, we will explore the African Safari through the fun technique of cartoon as well. We will even challenge our artistic talents by creating two large scenes one in a graphic style filled with a variety of animals, and another focusing on the twists and turns of an African snake completed with pastel chalks. Our exploration through Africa allows for a bounty of adventure and creativity. HORSES, HORSES & MORE HORSES WORKSHOP Five fun-filled days await our students as we explore the wonderful world of horses. Horses are not only graceful and majestic animals, but they are also excellent subjects to draw and color. In our Young Rembrandts Horse Drawing Workshop, our students will learn how to draw horses of all shapes, sizes, and styles. Colorful compositions help our students strengthen their coloring skills. Challenging drawings reward our students with a greater sense of accomplishment. Enroll today! SUPERHERO CARTOON WORKSHOP Pow! Bang! Wow! Now you can learn to draw your own comic book superhero. Each day we will complete several drawings while we explore a variety of characters. We will learn to draw the basic muscular superhero body and adapt it to the character of our choice. We will learn to draw action and movement while we complete the scenes around our superheroes, using pencils, markers and Sharpies. Our collection of drawings will be impressive! PASTEL DRAWING WORKSHOP/PATTERN AND DESIGN - A WORLD TOUR Explore multicultural art in our Worldly Artistic Designs workshop. We begin our world tour in Mexico as we draw several welcoming, colorful doorways. Next, we journey to Africa and explore the design intricacies of African crafts. Our artistic enlightenment doesn t stop there; we ll move on to design paisley patterns, an ancient design embraced by many cultures. Then, Asian paper lanterns will shed light on the Far Eastern design styles. Our travels end in Russia as we illustrate a mainstay of Russian architecture the onion dome. These classes will be messy fun, so dress appropriately. Enroll today! PASTEL DRAWING WORKSHOP/PASSPORT to PASTELS Grab your passport and join us for five days of adventurous fun as we explore many locations and experience a new medium, pastels. In our imaginations, we will travel to three different locales to inspire each day s pastel creation. Included locations are a cityscape, the Swiss Alps and a tropical scene full of color. Each day, we will create a 12 x 18 drawing in pastel chalks. A frame will be the proper place for display! No experience necessary. Please wear an old shirt or smock to class each day. SUMMER ART WORKSHOP/ENCHANTED ACADEMY Discover the charms of Young Rembrandts Enchanted Academy Summer Art Workshop. Be prepared to be whisked away to an enchanted academy where nothing is as it seems. Experience the majesty of the great dining hall as our students illustrate a beautiful graphic. Amuse yourself in the not-so-ordinary life of the academy with a plethora of cartoon drawings. From drawing an enchanted forest to a day at the races with dragons, it s nothing but fun in our classroom. The final of day of the Enchanted Academy Workshop will introduce our students to pastel chalks as they create a whimsical drawing of a phoenix. No prior experience is needed. Please wear an old shirt or smock to the final day of class. SUMMER ART WORKSHOP/AUSTRALIAN ADVENTURES We can t wait to take a tour of Australia. This five-day workshop will provide us plenty of opportunity to try different techniques and media, all in the hopes of challenging our artistic skills. We will create a dramatic graphic version of the remarkable Sydney Opera House with its unique shell-shaped design. While we re Down Under, we ll explore cartooning with Australianrelated jokes and scenes. We ll finish off this workshop with a powerful pastel drawing of a furry koala bear. Pastels are a unique medium and allow us the opportunity to practice some truly sophisticated techniques. We will walk away with several Australian-themed drawings to impress everyone.
