1 Southern Water Regional Charity Partners Description Southern Water supports up to four charity partners on a one-year agreement based on a fixed grant for a specific project or activity. The purpose of this fund is to support regional charities and promote local pride in Southern Water employees. All UK registered charities are eligible to apply for this partnership. However, they must work within our area of operation (Kent, Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight), must benefit communities as opposed to individuals, must be non-party political and have no religious or racial bias. A successful charity cannot reapply for the position for a minimum of two years following the ending of the agreement. Southern Water is looking for charity partners that will: Demonstrate the ability to deliver a project or agreed activity stream in a year Engage and inspire Southern Water employees, bringing added value to the partnership through volunteering opportunities. Provide opportunities for media, brand enhancement and positive profile The winning charity will: Demonstrate how it will support our partnership criteria Meet quarterly with the Community Campaigns and Engagement Team to review progress on each side In addition to the financial support, our commitment will be to engage staff to bring added value to the project where possible Application Process All applicants must complete an application form on the Southern Water website. We operate to strict guidelines and cannot accept any applications received after the specified deadline. All applications will be judged against the specified criteria of Southern Water and a short list submitted to employees in the specific region for their vote. Following the results of the vote, three or four finalists will be invited to present their case to the Company Charity committee. The decision of this committee is final and there is no right of appeal.
